My wife had her operation to remove a fibrous lump (on the first joint on the medial side of the R thumb) cancelled a few days ago mainly through fear that that there might be nerve damage if the lump was too near to the nerves. That's what the consultant said and further more, she could lose sensation or the use of the thumb.
Pseudo gout..or arthritis was not his diagnosis. There is occassional pain (sometimes throbing in the thumb) and discomfort when writing as the pen presses against the lump although the lump does not stand out. The consultant seem to suggest that he's not come across this problem and it would be a case study for him.
How can reflexology help with this problem? Your comments and advice greatly appreciated as I'm half way through my reflexology course.
