People still going to Laguna after Freedom, or is it Icon? I thought Laguna had their run and are now dead since they closed for that period of time last month.

No Laguna is alive and well, they just moved about 2 years ago.
THey are now on Vichit road near the SCB bank down near the Evason.
(across from the seashell museum)

Strange how places and attitudes change.When I moved down here nearly 3 years ago people used to knock Rawai,Chalong and Nai harn saying it was where the Ex-pats came to die.It's best place I have lived in a while much more laid back and friendly than where I lived in Boring Bang Tao.
Bang Tao, OK if you are a wannabe estate agent or property developers who like to "touch base" yawn!

I think you will find that the area has really increased in popularity since I moved down here.

There was a 'Not so sure' big haired girlie at that bar I can't remember the name of we went to after the other bar whose name has slipped from me near the beach, that I might be interested in buying an orange juice or three.

Anyway, worth a go by way of a change from the usual tracks around P'tong and K'lala.

Don't push me for a month yet as I don't bloody know.

Also the seafood restaurant that you told us about really good food and at very cheap prices, Rawai was one of the better times of my recent trip.

There was a lot of hot treats and the mix was probably 80 percent working girls and 20 percent "phuket town" girls. Overall I'd say it was 65/35 female to male ratio.

Well, Im just off the main Rawai road from Chalong close to that new pizzaria but, I cant give the exact l;ocation as it may detract from the new found popularity of those areas not fortunate enough to be near me.
