Red Hot Hands

Hi all,

I gave an Indian Head Massage today and had hot, red hands for a few hours after.

Does anyone have an explanation for this?

I sometimes see a pure white light as I'm balancing the brow chakra and did so with this client today.

Do you work with healing energies? If not maybe it's something you should look into. I get a similar sensation when I'm working with Reiki - it doesn't last for hours though

I'm quite new to this and I enjoy giving a treatment as much, if not more so, than the recipient!

I have recieved healing before and found it a wonderful experience. I don't really know a lot about it. I did want to try Reiki but the course was cancelled.

I was just amazed today to see how red my hands were.

Have you ever in the past got very hot hands?

I'm a natural healer and have always had a problem with hot tingling hands ever since I can remember, I had an idea that I was a healer but it was until I went to an open circle and was given a reading and first thing that was mentioned was that I get very hot tinglinghands the medium went on to say I was a natural healer and descibed my main Guide to me who I'd seen in meditation.

Since then I have become a Reiki Master which I did justfor personal development really, but I have learnt to ground excess energy and to cool my hands in few ways.
Before going into a hospital I make sure I am well grounded as when I don't my hands at times can feel they are on fire, when this happens I tend to run them under cold water seeing the energy leave with the water while grounding.

Working with the Chakras you are working with energy and grounding is a must.

Enjoying giving the treatment is the main thing! It would be worth following up on the heat from your hands though as you obviously have been thinking about it.

Read the Reiki forum to find out more about Reiki. Or one of the other forums here (it can be very addictive though!!)

Another thing that struck me is that, with Reiki, you are being healed when you give healing to another. And this sort of idea might be what you are experiencing.

I get the same hot burning feeling in my hands and have done since I first went on a healing course which progessed into Reiki 1. At our last circle after doing a Reiki healing session my hands where so hot and nothing I did would make them stop, in the end it was my Reiki teacher who managed to stop it. So like the others before me I believe that you should look into doing a Reiki course. You say that you were going on one before but it obviously it wasn't the right time or teacher for you, maybe it's the right time now.

I did think too that the course was cancelled as it wasn't right for me at the time.

I'm sure I'll be led when the time is right. I've never considered myself to be a healer though...not sure I'm that good!

I just really enjoy giving treatments knowing that somone has benefited from it.

Why do you see yourself as not good enough to be a healer? With Reiki, you let the energy flow through you to the person who is receiving it. Maybe think of it as balancing the person, relaxing them? I know some people who have to be woken up after a Reiki treatment!!

(incidentally I'm in here because I'm thinking of training in IHMas I think it's complimentary to Reiki)

I can understand where your coming from, before I learnt Reiki to call myself a healer didn't feel right as I hadn't done anything to be a healer as such.
But being a healer isn't like that at all, if your anything like me you'll enjoy giving rather than recieveing and healing will just be a natural thing that kicks in when its needed.
I offer a wide range of treatment to my clients which includes Reiki, but I don't offer healing as healing is a natural gift to me and when ever it is needed whether I'm giving a massage a facial or IHM if healing is needed my hands let me know and I follow my intuition.
