The first thing I think of with "Second Wind" is, well, not massage.

the work I do is more active and focused on being able to stay active or regain activity.

Sorry, but I really like "Solar Powered Massage." I know that is not what you are looking for, but, to me, it is very evocative of your business philosophy. It also gives me a sense of warmth and purity (solar), and activity and strength (powered).

My mother came up with a creative idea for me when I was looking for a new name for my business besides just my first and last name. I sent out a notice to all my existing clients to tell them I was having a contest to name my new business. The winner received a free one hour massage.

This idea really worked for me because the names that clients came up with would obviously reflect the types of clients and attract more of the same. Plus, many clients thought it was a fun contest.

The winner? -- Healthy Kneads Massage Therapy

Thanks so much for the nod, BJB. It's a name I kept coming back to, even though there were several others. I had a very close second for a long time, which I will PM you.

I really like Solar Powered too. In addition to what palpable mentioned, I find it a very organic name, and in keeping with embracing the NW ideal of renewable resources - our bodies and energies being one of the most important things to keep renewing.

OK, well with 4 people weighing in on the side of keeping the name, I set myself the task of just finding a better way to explain the name to people. (They don't have to know that this wasn't my original rationale, do they? )

So I came up with a first draft of some explanatory text for the website (could also be used as part of the "elevator speech" in a more conversational tone):

"Like our innate ability to heal, the sun is a readily available and inexhaustable source of life and power. Massage therapy is a gentle, easeful way to access your own ability to heal, and to regain access to the power and life of your body."

Please keep the thoughts and suggestions coming - I am working harder than I would have imagined, considering them all. You all are really great.
