My ATATF retired recently, I was really happy that she did . Another ATF retired, I'm really happy that she did also. I retired recently...I'm happy with my decision. There've been quite a few of us that have retired or taken a break for whatever reason....do you think they're happy they did? Only they'd know...

Some members are forced in to retirement because they got caught. Some are voluntary (like mine). What would make you retire?

Well, I wasn't going to announce retirement for myself... did that once before, but circumstances changed and I came back after about 6 months... but that's where my head is at. I haven't hobbied since my last review and haven't felt the need or even desire. Too early to say I'm retired but we'll see.

If guys retire because they run out of cash or get caught, they're probably not happy about it, unless they wanted to get caught. But anyone who makes a concious decision to retire or take a break for a more noble reason is probably quite happy.

For me it's a simple matter: If I'm involved with someone, I don't hobby. If I have too much going in my life, I don't hobby. It has always been a "nice to have" option, and even then, I'm rather picky about who I see.

At the massageplanet party, I won a free session with DM, and I only cashed it in at the beginning of this month. Peter had to go back to his files to confirm I even had the session, because he just plumb forgot. He congratulated me on how the hobby doesn't rule me, and I kinda like it that way. I've taken hiatus for about 6 months already twice in my 3 years of pooning.

I imagine that I will at some point retire. I do hope to keep the friends I've made through this scene, both guys and gals, because they are great people. I feel richer for knowing them.

I have always tended to be a bit of a binge hobbiest and I had been on one for a few months. I needed to take a break. So when my last ATF recently retired after a brief career in the biz and I re-evaluated how I was conducting myself. I have put the breaks on and am in a period of inactivity. My hobbying seems to wane considerably when I get busier in my work life and thank goodness that is the case now. I may be back for an ocasional tryst but I hopefully won't have too much time for it. So I would say I'm at least semi-retired.

To all of you who are happy with your decisions, I am glad for you and for the retired ladies too.

But for me, hobbying was to sate a 'hunger' I could not filled any other way. As such, I generally hobbied when I felt the need...All of what 5-6 times? Now, thanks to my cymbalta, I seldom even feel the need to rub one out, much less seek service

Hey BD, I firmly believe that there is someone out there for everyone. But it ain't easy. You gotta find her first, and then you can only hope that you're smart enough recognize that she's the one (and vice-versa for her!)

Sometimes we make mistakes and settle down with the wrong person. But that's part of figuring out who the right person is for us.

But believe me, when it's right, you'll never look back. There is simply no need for anyone or anything else. It's a happiness that can never be found in the hobby.

...and then Emily will have to come up with even better ideas than the Mixer to lure us back!

I am on an extended break because the thrill is gone . You only get out what you put in so if I approach a paid date with a ho hum attitude then that's what the session turns out being .

As for retiring that will probably never happen . I see myself in a wheel chair in a seniors home in a private room getting a very long lasting hand job from a relatively young cutie .

Growing up in my hometown we had an old guy ( in his 70's) that lived in the back of the pool hall as part of payment for working there . If you got to the pool hall before noon on Sunday the doors would be locked . Around 12:00 old Sammy would walk out his paid date for that morning . I remember complimenting him on still being able to fuck young woman at his age and he just smiled . He went on to tell me he loved given them a good licking but as for fucking they usually just put his dick between their thumb and index finger and rolled it around until he came or time ran out . It was usually the latter .
