Loved the Secret Wars Series....Remember thinking the Black Spidey Suit was the coolest superhero costume when I was a kid.....

Luckily, I had a girlfriend when I was in high school....but then again I stopped collecting comics - so that might have helped....

Restarted reading them again in University and I still kept on collecting.....

By the way....If you like the Punisher....You should read the last few series of Punishers written by Garth Ennis....They're fucking awesome....Well written...dark, violent and intelligent....
You can buy the Trade Paperbacks instead of buying individual issues....

Hey Manji.... thanks for the recommendation I read a fair bit of the Garth Ennis Punisher stuff... you are right it is good. If I ever get banned and need another handle I'll either be JohnConstantine or Dr Steven Strange.

Another funny youtube clip but the link doesn't seem to be working is the pilot of a show that never got picked up called Super Geeks about two guys and a comic book store.....Patton Oswalt & Brian Posehn star in a show about two nerds who work in a comic book store. This is the failed pilot episode shot for Comedy Central back in 2000. Sarah Silverman also guest stars in it. Lot's of funny comic and sci fi references but really only funny to a small percent of the population.

If most bannings are explained or temporary, how come Oh-Henry's banishment was never explained? He hated Rusty and once told me that he thought Rusty had an insider connection at massageplanet.net and hence got him banned. Guess he wuz wrong. :>

I remember when I first got on this board and started reading posts by this guy called Rusty. They usually had some sort of homosexual undertone and most always seemed to be fueled by alcohol. My favorite was one where he described someone as a friend who you would go home, think about, and masmassageplanet.netate to. I can't do it justice here but it was funny as hell. I also recall looking at the times that his posts were made and they usually seemed to be made in the wee hours of the morning which added to his aura of being this lonely, drunken, misfit. Then Rusty seemed to disappear off the board for the longest time. When he came back he really didn't seem like the same Rusty. His posts were still very gay but lacked the humor that they once had. He also seemed a lot more sober. I can't say that I will miss him, but he was a very odd and sometimes amusing character.
