Just got back from my first time in Phuket and quickly discovered what LOS Blues is all about.
First night I spent a few hours in Sharky's because I'm a total sucker for the uniform thang - schoolgirl, nurse, whatever. Bought a few LDs for a friendly girl there (Ivy, I think she said, and I'm pretty sure she was kosher). Then went to a gogo and then back to the hotel (alone) for an early night (1am - had to give a presentation at 9 that morning).
Next night back to Soi Tiger (after about 3 other bars in Soi Crocodile) to see if Ivy was there (I'm no butterfly!), but alas, she was no where to be seen. A mate I was with seemed to know WAY too much about Phuket nightlife and told us what to expect to pay, like he was reading it from an excel spreadsheet! Turns out he used to entertain Japanese businessmen there...
Went to another bar in Tiger and met May(?). Played a bunch of games and I think I spent more time pole dancing than she did - stupid dice! I went to the toilet and came back to find my mate had barfined both my girl and his girl! We played a few games of pool at the local hall and then called it a night at 3.30 as everything was closing. I think she was pretty disappointed (I'm no fat, old German!), but I'm married and I prefer the voice in my head to be on my side.
But, sorry Paddyjoe, I didn't come across any Jamie at Sharky's
Some trivia: Le Meridian charges 2500 to bring a friend back - a mate from Malaysia found that out the hard way and paid the Tuk Tuk guy 200 to take her back!
