i think why i may like the Walking St set up better is because the bars are so much bigger that you have less of the mish mash

but when i think about why i don't like the Bangla bars i always think of being stuffed in mostly

Right again, that's why I prefer the table in Blue Lotus Bar right next to the ice cream parlor. Ideal mix between least musical interference and best view on Soi Crocodile. 555

You know, Ive never been able to name all those bars , nor which one Im in on the rare occasion Im in one, and have to go outside and look at the name if someone calls asking where I am.
I just call them the 'shed bars', and have never understood their appeal to punters....

Dean i think there appeal for tourists is that they can people watch ..cant really do that down the soi's ..perhaps they feel safer there too..no so "hard core" in there eye's...i always wonder down to the blue Lotus on my first night...just to get my mojo back 555

Yes, Blue Lotus… For me the best time to sit there is at 5 in the afternoon. The end of the shift for the girls who work daytime is at six, so they are tired and bored. And drunk at times. The girls of the night shift slowly arrive. So does the assistant manager who starts her daily routine reading the newspaper.

The street is slowly filling up with people. Tourists coming back from the beach sometimes red like a chilli. Families with children. The occasional first drunk. The first street vendors.

At the other side of the street, the vendors at the entrance of Soi Croc start to unpack their stuff. Tshirts, shoes, hats. Everyday the same routine.

The end of the day. But also the beginning of the night, when the promises of the night are still… promises.

6:30PM – time to leave.

You do get some strange looks from the previous bar as you settle into barstools belonging to the next bar but 8 inches further down the road. Variety is the spice of life...5555

Heard the owner of blue lotus bought it and its getting named black horse? And also looks like shipwreck is getting reopened across from mc donalds..

Just saw the bar is closed, going to be renovated. But across Mcshit they are building something that could be a new shipwreck bar.
Not such a good location for couples watching the Soi Crock show, so guess there will be less people there.
