short term rates

Hey All Just a question . Since I stay a little out of town do any of the tica hotels (BM, Sportsmens)give short term rates or are they all booked in January. Secondly is the Sportmans bar anything like the BM for choises of woman? ? What I would like to do is check it out before I bring a lady to the Marriott for the whole night. Like to find a good woman and keep her there.

Motel Eden is one of the best short time places.It has very plush facilities from what I have heard though yet to use it.Something like $25 for up to 12 hours whith jacuzzi in room full room service and the works.I know there are posts on it.There are also some hot sheet hotels in downtown but I think the are very basic.DelRey may do short time when they have rooms but in the winter high seson that would definitely be hit and mis.rbc100

If you don't want to risk getting bit by bed bugs or some similar health risk. You might try the Hotel Asia which is just around the corner on the block to the south of the Del Rey. I believe their rate is only about $10 but have heard conflicting reports as to its cleanliness. I'm sure for $10 its nothing fancy beyond that how clean it seems may depend on your personal standards.

Some what more upscale and between the Asia and Motel Eden in price is the Hotel Morazon, 1 block west of the BM. I've stayed their as an overnght guest though never short term. But I know they often have rooms available which they will rent out for I believe $20 for a hour or two (I inquired once but didn't write down the price).

Both these placs are an easy walk from the BM. If you go for the Motel Eden, you will have to add on the cost of a cab ride each way, though that will still be far cheaper than the ride out to the Marriott.

Hotel Morazan does have a short term rate. I think it is $25 for 2 hours.

Your personal attacks on RBC100 are getting to be a little tiresome. As far as I can see how much or how little he spends is none of your f_______ business.

Some good natured ribbing among the forum members is always acceptable, but you've been on this same track now for too many posts.

For someone who has been using this forum for almost a year and has yet to join as a VIP you have absolutely no right to be calling anyone CHEAP.

Instead of PayPal'ing RBC100 some money, why not invest some of your money contributing to CRT.

My first EVER encounter in CR took place at the Asia. Have been there a few times since. Met the girl at the All America Bar (now Monkey Bar). If you are looking for a convenient 1 hour stay it's ok. Walls are paper thin but, every time I have been there not alot of other action going on anyway. Last time I went no towels in the room. After the session, I had to go ask for a towel. Very discreet, they don't even ask your name. Just come on in. Cost is like 2500 colones. All the girls know the place. Cleanliness...on a scale of 1-10..uh 5 or 6.

Hey Thanks all rbc especially . Sorry about bthe sarcasm due to my request. I appreciate the Fun I will have trying to get the best value with the women. I overpaid but still enjoyed my first trip. My point was just hate to go back and forth to MArriot until I find a chica I want to spend some real time with. Im an so thrilled to be going and hope to meet some of you there. I am afraid to sign up for personal reasons but would be glad to donate to the site or at least buy some drinks!!!

Chaser ,Your welcome and good luck on your next adventure.Dannielson,I like to think I spend my money wisely and certainly have quality experiences.The only way my budget will support 8 or 9 trips a year is to do just that.One interesting thing I have found is that there is very little if any correlaton between cost of services and quality of experience.The only real difference would maybe amount of time.Yey Old Man ,Thanks for you support.

I'd like to lend my support to RBC100 as well. He introduced me to one of the best if not THE best experience of my last trip and it cost less than $20. He is absolutely right that cost does not always correlate with quality.

Some may call it being cheap, but I would call it being smart. Being cheap is settling for poorer quality or expending lots extra effort just to save a few bucks. If one can get the same or better quality for less with little effort, why not? Doing anything else is just being foolish. Some might then make excuses by saying its not worth the effort just to save a few bucks. I'm not talking about crossing avenida dos to pick up a dime or arguing with a taxista over 100 colones. But taking 10 extra seconds to say "No Cien para solomente una hora" is well worth it. Does anyone seriously doubt that different guys at the BM pay often drastically different rates for the exact same girls? Or that there are guys who visit ZB and pay the non-discounted rate for want of buying an inexpensive membership to CRT that can also save them money in so many other ways (and which they should support anyway).

This debate pops up time after time. I think its been explained why anyone regardless of personal income should be interested in spending their money wisely. But even if some fail to understand that they should understand that not all of us are gym owners with unlimited budgets. Maybe they're spreading their travel budget over several trips per year or maybe even expats trying to fit some mongering into their regular daily budget. Or maybe they can only afford one trip per year but, armed with knowledge from this board, can literally save enough money in a day or 2 down in CR to cover the cost of an extra session at ZB.

I believe that Danielson meant his posts as goodnatured ribbing. But he just doesn't seem to get it. Anyone can josh, but if he really wanted to gain more credibility when arguing for spending MORE money it certainly would help if, after spending a whole year posting here, he were willing to pony up the measly $35/yr that most other posters came up with long ago.

I usually read all his posts as there are some great money savings ideas he comes up with that I might have not even considered.

I aalso believe that Danielson got the "drift" and we should welcome his more versitle joshing on a variety of subjects to come..as long as it is readable as innocent joshing.
