Yea i know, photography can be a real expensive hobby, but without the right tools the hobby can get frustrating.

That is a correct and appreciated attitude, hobby photo equipment must be perfect as You like it Yourself (later on Singha beers will come down anyway not leaving such a nice digital memories...)
But myself not being so big boss I prefer very easy to use Sony "point and shoot soapbox" DCS-T9 (khm, not to say that my laptop is also Sony...)

I had my first tour to Thailand in late October. I went on-line and found out that the Simon Caberet show was listed number 2 of the top ten attractions in Thailand. So I went and had a nice time. If you go and if possible get close to the front.

I took my own camera and took a few pictures afterwards. The entertainers did not charge me a fee, just took what I gave them and said thanks. I went to the 7:30PM show however afterwards I read or heard that the last show 10:00 or 10:30PM is recommended. If you like cultural events I say go.

I was more interested in the cultural aspects of Thailand and traveled from Phuket, Samui, Chiang Mi, to Bangkok the 15 days I was there. I had very little knowledge other than what I gathered from this forum and one or two other websites. I think I did all right and had a good time. Heading back again in April.
