I think that Gonzo is the only soi that i havent spent a night in. I don't know why but i think that the small entry to the soi is off-putting. Well to me anyway!

But then, I am generally to drunk when i get that far down.

Yes it the bar half way down, they have some good looking girls. On my first trip i spend a lot of time in that bar 55555555555. A bar that was on rightside before have moved over to the leftside, just the bar before off-side they also have some good looking girls, and LB for those who like them....

The first picture in post 20, in the background 2 farang guys with no shirt on. This really annoys me, and also I was surprised when my staff at the time also complained about it me.

When I instructed the door staff at Playschool that no shirt means no entry, all staff were thankful for this action.

Steve, when did you run Playschool? I first went to Phuket in 96 and it was my favourite drinking hole! The atmosphere in the place was great and the girls always seemed to be having fun! Came back the next year and it was completely different. Was told the had a new manager and I don't think I ever went back. I hope you were the earlier manager!:embrassed

I have a bar in Soi Crocodile and I go into Soi Gonzo all the time. The new owner of New Lips Bar is named Kirby, young bloke and good for a chat. I think he'll get that bar moving pretty good as he's got some nice girls in there. I'm also mates with the other Aussies that own The Stock Exchange in Soi Gonzo. It's a nice bar, did a great job on it when they opened up. Great guys, Paul and Brendan. Stop and and say hi to all of them....

November 1999 to February 2005, have never had anyone complain about it before, well to my face anyway. No probs, would have been interested in your thought about the place back then though, particularly if your werent happy.

Well before your time anyway! It may have been that I originally hit the place at just the right time and it just went back to what it had always been. All I know was that when I first found it, it was a huge blast and the place was just going OFF!!!!. Haven't come across too many places like that before or since.

I always follow the rule, only one stunner is already enough for me.

Unluckily, Soi Gonzo was a huge letdown in that category over all of high season and simply could not compete with, lets say, Soi Eric, or even Soi Seadragon.

It was pretty good however around middle last year as I do not mind being the only customer in the bar all night long.
