Is Soi LK Metro a better choice for nightlife compared to Patong ?

Add to that Papagayo, Oasis and the bars on Soi Diana just a hundred meters away and I think that it compares quite nicely.
I like the idea that youdo not have to wait till after 10 PM for things to liven up...

There are many Bangla bars (and even in Kamala with ST rooms!!) that open at 10AM - MTB isn't the epicentre of Bangla's universe

Lk Metro just needs a nightclub and it has everything. It wouldn't suit some of the less hardy girl friend experience seekers maybe, but each to their own...

And Nomis, one Soi in Pattaya to the whole of Bangla road - how many decent soi's does Bangla road have these days ?

If you arrived in Pattaya and only had LK Metro and say Soi Buakhow for nightlife would you be a bit disappointed? Variety is what makes Pattaya for me anyway. Bangla can be a bit same same and more packed, thinking about my own question I think LK+Buakhow win for me.

No brainer have spent plenty time in both, LK Metro area wins hands down

You would be lucky if you can pick 4-5 decent bars in Patong on a night out and as for ago go's mmmmmmmmm maybe 2 in Patong worth a mention in the same context as Pattaya

The fact we are now comparing one small area of Patts to the whole of Patong says something more about what Patong has become IMO

But nightlife it is not only gogo, beer bars or BJ bars but also discos, restaurants, private parties, etc.

I have never been in Pattaya but according to my knowledge if your only aim is to meet BG or gogo girls Pattaya is your best chose. If you like to have some fun with BG in night and sunny vacation in a beautiful environment during the day you will chose Patong.

You need to go to Pattaya so, the beach near beach road where the action is centered is not a good beach but there's plenty of nice ones north and south of it within 10 minutes. There's far more shopping malls the Patong with lots of nice cinemas and restaurants to bring a TG, Buddha Hill, sanctuary of truth, Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, a few Temples as well and you're only an hour and a bit from BKK for a daytrip.

I certainly wasn't stuck for anything to do during the day which I must admit that I was killing time during the day in Phuket.

As much as I enjoy Soi LK Metro, I probably wouldn't bother with Patts if it was just that...but would visit Patong if it just consisted of Bangla Road.

Mav, I think you forgot to include "Kiss" go-go on LK Metro too. And Dan reckons the pizza stand in front of the Archer compares favourably with the Soi Sansabai Burger. Nice thread by the way. Oh yes, forgot to mention, I'll be in LK Metro next week.

I think the LK Metro area is a great joint for those guys who wanna play a bit of stink finger well away from the preying eyes of the gals they are sponsoring who work down in WS or married guys on a weekend away

same same Soi Seadragon for the married outer suburbs guys who need their boys nights out at the digitorium or suzie whackinbacks....555
