The main appeal of LK Metro for me is it's proximity to everything. Even though it's a self-sufficient little Mecca in it's own right... It's surrounded by choice... Bangla would probably be more appealing if it had some decent competition in Patong. But hell... why compare... enjoy both for what they are...

Hey Mav, new go-go about to open in Soi LK Metro, next door to Metro Apartments. It is called "Paradise" Go-Go, looks only a couple weeks from being ready to go.

Probably mixed feelings about that, as it might make Metro Apartments a less attractive place to stay at (good guesthouse!)

Had a coffee this morning at that little coffee shop on LK Metro (reasonable coffee too....add that to the list Mav!) and the lovely girl working there said that there is some rumour that the downstairs part of Kilkenny Bar might/could be converted into a go-go. That's right opposite Irish Rovers and the Pasadena Lodge.

LK Metro rapidly becoming a mini Walking Street, largely minus the douchebags from certain unnamed countries of the world 5555

Not entirely sure if I will want to stay in a guesthouse on LK Metro if it becomes wall-to-wall go gos. Unless I stock up only sleeping tablets.

I can give you a great recommendation mate, only a few minutes away by foot (literally), same price range, but significantly better rooms. Just need to book well, well in advance.
