So gentlemen, here is my point. In the above post the UN site states that a person can go 8 to 10 years signs of AIDS appear. A person can also go 10 to 15 years before AIDS is actually developed. If the guy in the story beginning this post did not get AIDS, he is very fortunate. So why take a chance and go bareback? Its is best to be safe, right? It isn't a hard condition to contract. But it is an easy one to prevent. I don't understand the value of the post that started this thread. It is the misconception that AIDS is hard to contract that leads to more and more infections. It serves no purpose other than to help people let their guard down. Can someone help me understand how the initial post in this thread makes sense?

There is risk.. Not a (near zero) risk like recieveing a blowjob but very very low risk..

Given the saliva etc which naturally reacts against the virus and given that ingestion is not a easy route to infect the bloodstream it is considered very low but there is a risk..

There is a risk of catching gonorrhea,chlamydia etc.. But there is not really any risk of catching the big one, Unless you suffer with bleeding gums or other cuts to the mouth and she is bleeding or has broken skin then the risks increase substantially.

Your initial post stated that ther person had the next 8 - 10 years worrying about whether he had caught AIDS because it was not possible to tell or test due to the 'incubation period'.. This is clearly not true.. AIDS is simply HIV that has effected the immune system to the point where it is weak and they are likely to be at high risk from opportunistic infections (as I said in a previous post the general baseline for clinical diagnosis is a CD4

I for myself think that there's no way to gamble with HIV. Even if there is a very low risk. The fact is that there IS a risk. And nobody can put this risk in a simple perceneforum.xxxe like mentionned above under 1%.

And many guys wrote here that their condom broke and so on didnt catch the disease. The guys who did catch it dont write here on the board and im sure there are some poor bastards out there who did catch it.

As mentionned already its very like russian roulette. High risk, low risk i think that mustnt be the point if you use a condom or not...
