The Economy, Anyone Worried?

I don't mean to be an alarmist, but I think if trend this continues, it will effect us. People will spend the money to get a good haircut, but not a massage, is what I'm hearing round these parts. I want to be ready in case this should happen.

Ready how, exactly? Personally, I don't like to "borrow trouble." I think when we go into the "what if's" of the future, we cause ourselves unnecessary anxiety worrying about problems that may never occur. I believe in dealing with problems as they arise instead. I also believe in the Law of Attraction, and have no desire to invite problems my way. Just my :2cents:

I am all ready feeling the pinch! "IT" is here now. I have seen a down turn in business. My area is not a strong economic area as I have said earlier...I hope that you do not experience what I am seeing now.

Just want to add to all that in case it doesn't come across in text, I'm posting with all due respect and sincerely wanting to find out what everyone is experiencing out there.


Hey Bliss! I'm also one who believes in manifesting and the power of attraction, but as much as I try to practice being in the world but not of it, I understand I'm in it. So, while keeping hope for our future, I am preparing by cutting some corners in my expenses. Finding ways to simplify life and what I really need so that my own cost of living is lowered.

George, from what I've been reading, areas such as yours will be the first to feel it, then it will trickle into areas such as mine. I live in an affluent area where much of the wealth comes from Wall Street investors, etc.

First I must say that I don't entirely understand how economics work.

That being said - isn't it true that when you cut your expenses and spend less, that you are actually CONTRIBUTING to a slowing/problematic economy?
