End of the World is when Religion takes over. When Sex is outlawed, sperm banks become the in thing. When we have to put up with boring facts at times.:grrrrrr:

The end is coming because we are raising too many Cows and the gas from them are polluting the air. We should all eat Fruits and Veggies.:happy:

As for Earth being the only one, I doubt that.....hopefully there's more n one and the inhabitants there didn't fuck it up as bad as we did this one.

Back to the topic at hand however, I was watching a program on the water crisis before the power went out. I think THAT will be the next big thing to hit us.

Seems our elected officials and more so those in the US are granting big business all kinds of tax breaks to build massive bottling plants to basically steal a basic necessity. One example (and I couldn't believe this) allowed Nestle to build a plant in Michigan and they were extracting so much water from one river, it turned into a mud bed downstream. It basically turned all the homes fronting onto the river into wastelands because nothing was getting any water and the aquifers were drying up.

The people sued Nestle and even though a judge said that they couldn't do that, another allowed Nestle to continue pumping 216,000 gallons a day while they appealed. Under appeal, they were allowed to continue and the judge stated that only the people who were directly affected by the overuse could sue and threw out the suit.

This all adds to the myth about bottled water being better. In the US, it is 100% unregulated and all companies like Nestle do is pump it out of the river and into a bottle and sell it for 10,000% markup (because they aren't actually paying anything for the water they're taking).

I still say Bob is a great name for it. Hey, lookit bob tonight, he's FULL....lol.....but look at it another way: big corporations are taking over earth so eventually someone will get it into their head to take it over and it could end up being called McDonald's so.......

But think of it, as soon as someone invents a technology for putting a logo up there, it'll happen. Can you imagine? everytime there's a full bob you'd look up and see two big golden arches? *shudders*.....
