The blue lotus next door is pretty much the same...No hassle for ld...And last time i was there no ladies to bar fine???? ....It use to be quiet an active bar a few years ago,also good to people watch.

I'm going to place a recommendation for this bar - I spent the early part of several evenings sitting at the front of the bar (clean, modern & with good bathroom) enjoying the sights & sounds as Bang La came to life each night...and then the gogo dancers across the road started up, and the lady boy show down below (not that I dig that - interesting nonetheless) all the while sipping ice cold Beer Lao and being looked after by the lovely Kob. Only downside is if you sit outside at one of the high tables you will be harrassed non stop by the usual hawkers, beggars, photo pimps, animal touts etc. Try and sit just inside behind the bar.

I have not seen or heard of Rab for a while now, last i heard he lost a huge amount of weight and did not seem to well, but i have not been to LOS for a while now so dont really hear what is happening apart from on here.

I think i will be back for songkran time, maybe head up your way if G is around, so perhaps we will finally meet.

I beg to differ. LDs in Kamala are the same price as in Patong - and all (or most) bars charge B500 BF. Little wonder you could fire a cannon down the main street these days...
