How can you square the two different accounts? I have only been into gas panic for a glimpse. It looked small and not too many opportunities for such a large city.

Elsewhere on this forum there were some detailed directions to a gaijin-friendly Soapland called New York New York in Ueno. I was in Tokyo for a few days last month. I followed the directions and found the street, but there was no sign of this place or anything like it. And believe me, I looked hard!

I hadn't spent any time in Tokyo before and found the number of nightclubs overwhelming in Ueno and Ropongi - very difficult to figure out where gaijin were 1) welcome and 2) less likely to get ripped off.
