i just got home from a couples massage with mr. mush. i thought alot about this thread while draping the male client for face down work.
i realized that i "err" to the side of caution and anticipate that the size of what's covered is larger than what i might think might be there, so as not to 'bump' into any part that might just be there. ;-)

i also think that when draping with a sheet only, that i fold/bunch many layers over the gluteal fold, to access the sacroliliac joint and the total hip area, which might account for a 'breezy' feeling of space between you and the sheet.

that mt you mentioned salty, seems a little too manipulative rather than geniunely interested. i'd never put you on the dime for why your lady took the gift certificate. in my world, i allow transferable GC's because i want to get hands on any'body' who might be a source for repeat business or word of mouth referrals.

It's funny, the honest truth is that, none of us knows or can even anticipate what was going through that MT's head. Yes, she could have been flirty, but on the other side, she could have just been genuinely very nice. I've bumped and slid against many body parts in the past few years, never on purpose, but in fact, the room is dark, I sometimes don't even realize it is there, until I rub against it and wonder, "Wait, that's not supposed to be there :shock: As for draping, I am a very loose draper, when I have my clients face down. I don't like the sheet to be in my way when I stroke from shoulder down to foot. In my opinion, it takes away from my technique, but most of my clients are very used to it. A few of them have mentioned that at first they were leary, but then the strokes were so good, they just had to give in. I love that reaction. If it is a first time client or a first time massage, usually I will not do that, but I always let my clients know, "If anything I do makes you uncomfortable, please let me know immediately, so that I can change what I am doing." Personally, ever since throwing that line in there, I have never had to "change what I was doing."

That’s kind of why I didn’t speak up. Was that just her normal personality? Was she attracted to me? Just being flirty to book appointments? I’ll never know, and glad the situation fixed it’s self. I also think I wouldn’t get much sympathy for complaining about a free massage from a similar aged attractive female.

Also, the recent couples massage was still very enjoyable. No real complaints…just unsure if the drafty draping was normal.
