Steeverus, I guess on your analysis I might be a target for such a "calculating" girl. I haven't had much trouble meeting and dating attractive women outside MPs.

As to my own "wants", I'm certainly nowhere near thinking about such a serious relationship with her such that her work would be an issue for me. Not at this point. Of course, I don't know what's on her mind either. I guess I'm going to find out soon enough.

Language is the trickiest issue, although the phone conversation went pretty well today. Part of it is that she seems to get excited when we get talking and she gets even harder to understand when that happens. It really clouds the issue as to whether it will prove to be a "professional" encounter. For example, she has never asked for any money for "extras" in the MP, and has even tried to decline all money for some sessions. It's hard to tell if this is some kind of language barrier thing, or she's trying to say she doesn't want my money for such activities.

Well, the only way to know for sure is to wade into the water......

I'm posting an update, partly for the interest of those who debated what would happen, and also for a further sounding board (where better than on massageplanet.net for that!).

Without getting too deep into the details, I met her at her apartment. Here are some facts to chew on:
No money was mentioned, and none was exchanged.She provided dinner. Not quite a sit down meal, but not pizza either.There was sex.I was at her place for four hours. I had to leave at that point.We spent a fair bit of time playing with a chinese-english translator. I suppose you could say she wanted me to teach her some english, at least so she could understand some of things I was saying a little better.We made plans to see each other next week.She talked about getting out of the business (no prompting from me here) to go to school starting in January. No talk of needing any "help".There was only one short phone call during the time I was there. The conversation was Chinese.
However, some "question marks" were raised:
I had to meet her outside her building lobby. She said her intercom buzzer wasn't working because she'd recently switched phones? It's safe to say that I still don't know her real name.I think she used some lube on herself (not too shocking, given her job, but not as convincing as when a girl doesn't need it)
To me, and it's mostly because of the language barrier, I'm still undecided about what might be in play. However, because there were no tell-tale signs of a scam, I'm inclined to meet her again.

Are you sure ... was your wallet with ID and keys in sight at all times?

Identity theft is huge these days and it only takes a minute for one person to go into your wallet take a picture of the ID you have available (that would include your credit cards, drivers license, health card, etc.) and also make an imprint of your keys (home, car, office, etc.).

Yeah sure you check the $$$ that you have and everything seems in place but guess what ... in a few days, weeks or months ... your credit is declined and your cards are taken from you, you have to pay for your next eye exam, a passport was taken out in your name, your house was broken into and later you find out that it was sold and a mortgage was put there by the buyer who wants your ass in courts, you wake up and find your car was repoed ...

Just some thoughts ... take some precautions.

Fraud will either happen to you or someone you know in your lifetime, this is a fact and the sad thing is that it is on the rise. Best bet is to protect yourself and knowing how to do that is the first step. It has never happened to myself as I have taken precautions to counteract anything that they may try to do to me ... of course, if they come up with something new that I am unaware of then it's back to square one and being unprotected.

I used to get reports on Corporate Fraud activities from CSI:Finance, coming this Fall check your listings, jk ... you would be surprised at how much takes place and the numbers which are not reported. Th elengths that people will go through would astound some of you.

VBB, good advice. In fact, I didn't take any credit cards or my wallet (or any other ID) with me. Also, she doesn't know my real name either (only fair, considering I don't know hers). The cash I took was undisturbed as well. Her place is a one bedroom and I hung my jacket up in a closed closet. Unless someone was hiding in the closet, it would be hard to imagine how she could check out what was in my pockets, as basically she was never out of my sight unless she was in the washroom. As I said, there were certainly no obvious signs of a scam.

Nevertheless, I still don't fully trust the situation, which is why I asked for the thoughts of massageplanet.netites.

BP... as some have mentioned before, the most important thing for you is to decide what you want and then be clear about it (regardless of the language barrier)...

I have had both the good and the not so good... but none of my experiences have been bad. In fact, one experience has been excellent.

I would guess that she is either just very lonely and finds you kind, caring, nice and/or attractive or she is looking for a husband...

If I was you, I would enjoy the moment, practice safe sex (even if she tells you that she is on the pill etc), and if you start to feel really guilty, ask her directly if she is hoping for sponsorship into Canada. This will answer your question...

IMPORTANT: The immigration laws have changed dramatically over the years.
I just heard a story about a lady who sponsored her son from Jamaica. The lady had left him in Jamaica while working and applying to get her papers in Canada. She finally sponsored him and brought him to Canada. Four years later, they had a major falling out, and he moved out of the house, applied for Welfare, and now they are garnishing her wages...

According to the Immigration Laws today, you are responsible for anyone that you sponsor into the country for 10 years...

As far as credit card fraud is concerned, she could have had this info a long time ago if she was interested, and exposed herself to less risk...

Identity Theft: a possibility... but again, there are much easier, less risky ways for them to get your info... Her bringing you to her place is quite risky... did you notice if she had any roommates or if other people (men) were living there??? The employee at your bank is a bigger risk of identity theft if you want to worry about something...

She could be playing some type of game with you, building trust, finding out more info about you etc.. but that type of con will be in the form of blackmail or simply begging you for money... If you start to hear about her mom being sick or dying etc, you can bet the request for a loan is sure to be around the corner...

Well, at least you are taking precautions ... the name change was a good step as well, I have done that before. Remember, there is no obvious signs of a scam that is why they call it that.

Have a good time but always stay on guard ... dont forget about hidden cameras taping your session for the internet and then some member here will post a link to it asking if you can get any of that around here !!!

Better to be safe than sorry... The "Long Con" is the one that you have to worry about, because they are going after big money... As VBB said...stay on guard... if you have a friend that you can trust, let him/her know, and get their opinion about what is going on...

One of the biggest problems is if you start fooling yourself... Thinking that you are being on guard, but really not. That is why I recommend that you let someone know what is happening and be honest about it.... You seem like a level headed guy, but you never know....

Try this next time your at her place, pretend you need to use the landline phone and use it to call your own cell phone. The name and number should be on the caller ID feature, unless she'd applied for a private name (not likely if English isn't her first language). Take the name and number and do a search on it...you should be able to determine her name if she used it to open an account with Bell.
Another trick is too use the bathroom and take a look around to see how many toothbrushes are there, how many combs/brushes, what type of perfume, cologne? body moisturizures and determine if it is for one person or if she has roomates.
You might've found yourself a 'f*ck friend' or someone who really treasures your companionship.

Protecting yourself is a good idea but everyone needs their space.

If she wants you to know, she'll tell you. Otherwise best to respect her boundary.
