Its a great way to network. Its a giant web of people connecting with other people. Takes some learning, but once u do, its easy & fun !!

I heard that my sweet innocent 13 year old niece had a Facebook page. I didn't find that but I did find her twitter page. What a potty mouth! I wasn't sure if it was her by the small picture on the top left of the page. as I read through, some things seemed to fit but then she showed and named the family dog and I knew it was her and I quickly left the page.

I'm not sure what to do as I don't want to mention it to her and embarrass her. I also don't want it to come back to bite her later on. I could discretely talk to her Dad but I feel like I would be tatletailing.

Any pearls of wisdom appreciated.

I'd say something like 'your twitter page is amusing'. That way she knows you are watching her. Hopefully she'll get the point.

Aww had to laugh a lil bit at "sweet innocent 13yr old"...I'd follow a1's advice. Make a remark just to her along those lines..."I'm stunned you don't get grounded more often with what you say on twitter" She'll be embarassed but youre saving her from worse stuff unless she wisens up. Hopefully she will learn to cover her ass better

As everyone else has said, just embarrass her into watching herself. Absolutely don't tell her dad, save those tattle-tale for more serious causes like drug abuse.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I think I'll approach her in a very tactful way and explain what possible implications may lay ahead. She'll no doubt be somehat embarrassed but it's ultimately for her own good.
