The thing about XY Bar is that its located on quite a busy semi-urban crossroad so its not a very shady and daunting area to visit. The place is surrounded by normal shops etc.

I think the XY Bar is very different from the pubs Mark is talking about. First of all, these pubs are a bit daunting and the girls there are really pushy and wanting to buy them and urself drinks....when on one's own, last thing i want to do is get drunk on an eerie street like that. Marks' report is really encouraging though It would be great to do monger pubbing with a wingman like Mark did! - it also avoids potential scams.

XY Bar is more of a BBBJ/FS factory with semi comfy surroundings and less of a bar. (I remember taking pics here but deleted them after i wasnt able to upload them to the mpnet.) I mean the actual so called bar counter area is smaller than standard bathroom The rest is a maze of little rooms.

Yeah, been serviced two times there... They really should section off the back room with some curtains or something... but what they do, is have a girl up front keep a watch out, and keep any new customers that come in up towards the front of the bar, and they cannot see them performing in the back..

this is old bar street across and down a couple blocks from the Hilton.
The street name is Julu Lu... There are about 6-8 bars left there... and some of the others I have been offered to "go upstairs for an hour" .... but never tried (yet)...

I was back in SH again for two days.

Friday afternoon, I arrived and messaged a girl I see for room service. Found her on Craigslist. 700 RMB, normally 1 shot, I have done two with her before.
We have a good time... she stayed about an hour, and I was pleased.

That evening just hung out at Malones. Stayed because I like the band. Left aroud 2am? Dropped in at Manhattan. The place was packed. And many girls left. Had too many beers at that point, and headed back to the Hilton. Stopped at Crossroads bar across the street for a nightcap. The girls there are friendly.

Sat afternoon (when I woke up), went over to the Shanghai hotel. About 4pm or so. About 15 girls to pick from, a few 7's. The girl I got spoke maybe 3 words of English. But everything else was very good. 650RMB if you leave before 7pm. Ran into another guy on the elevator (American). He lives in SH 3 years, and a friend just told him about the place. He was satisfied. Asked how I knew, and I mentioned this board.

Went to Malones again, and ran into another American there. He has been living there for 9 months, and knew of some places. But just the normal places. He did not know of this board.

We listened to two sets, and went to Manhattan. Lots of Philoppinos as normal. Two bland looking Chinese next to us at the bar, then a couple (M&F) walk up and order a couple beers. THe guy spoke little English, and got the other two Chinese girls talking with us. Then mentioning several things that I added up, he either wanted me to go back with him and his gf, or me and the Chinese girl go back with them. Not that I wouldn't do somethings like that, but none the women were not up to my standards.

They had us occupied, so we were not able to talk with other girls. I went to the bathroom and exited, and my friend fakes a phone call, and came out the front. We stopped in one of the upstairs bars. Negotiated 30 for a beer, (they wanted 60), and stayed a bit. Just girls working wanting you to buy them drinks.

I asked him if he was up to some "wild" action, and he agreed, so we headed over to the old bar street across and down a couple blocks from the Hilton. The street name is Julu Lu... There are about 6-8 bars left there. I think it was the "original" bar street in SH along time ago. Some bars are by the girl drink types. Others. Well All of them are old, and not classy as Tongren Lu bars.

We stopped in "Pretty Girl". The first bar you come to off the main road. A girl I knew from before, remembered me, and we went inside. Went to the back room where they have a pool table. They try to swam you with 2 or more girls each, but I told her just one each. (ended up with 4 anyways later on. She puts my hand down her crotch. And the other girls start massage my buddy. Some other guys come in, so we move to the other side of the room. Lots of touching, massaging, gropeing. Several rounds of drinks. My girl motions with her hand and mouth open, asking me if I want BJ, and I nod yes. This was my second time with her... and I confirmed the price (200 to each girl...) So we go off in the corner. I tell her to have the other girls take care of my friend... And she perfoms well. I look over and two girls are going at my friend.

We were there about 1 1/2 I think. Total damage with tips 1100. Kind of steep, for 2 BJ's in a different environment.. and lots of fun, and several drinks.
