The band played quite well and there are 6 ex-championship players in our band of 25, so we do have a good quality sound. Apparantly the 2 ajudicators felt that our tempos were not in line with the correct interpretation. The conductor took the piece at exactly the tempos indicated, but it looks like he should have ''messed about with them a bit''.

Our next big contest is the regional qualifier in March. 2 days on the p1ss in Swansea:biggrinlo

That was Gson, Geir and me on the pull, not two lizards and a monkey! We did manage to get the names of the two farang women who succumbed to having pictures taken with us though!

I hear what you say about the lizards and the monkey, I saw them too but they looked pretty healthy when all said and done (Me not being a vet etc) and as they are the photographers main source of income, it is in his interest to make sure they are reasonably well looked after IMHO. The best place for any animal or reptile is thier natural habitat but I am guessing you won't stop it happening everywhere it happens in the world.

Some other clever bugger (in France I guess) got hold of the hunting horn and turned it in to a French horn (horn in F) by putting funny valves on that.
