Tough question Boogs, because as you say most of us are there for our fun, which usually entails Thai girls rather than farang girls and therefore never really thought about it.

Giving the matter some consideration, I would suggest the bars in Bangla Road, U2, shipwreck etc, rather than in any of the sois, Aussie Bar, dont know when the new extension will open but cannot be too long so maybe by the time your there. Never remember if its Molly Malones or Scruffy Murphys but anyway the Irish Bar in Bangla usually has lot of europeans. Nightclubs, mainly thai girls but possibly Banana Disco on the beach front has the highest perceneforum.xxxe of euros and aussies compared to thai girls, after that If you havn't pulled then just join the rest of us at Baya/Tai Pan/Safari and have a good time dancing etc.

Perhaps you may have to be a little more proactive if you see a guy you like, rather than waiting for them to chat you up, the thai girl competition will not wait around.

Your unlikely to see wild animals paraded on Bangla anymore - animal rights activists are pretty active in Phuket (Gibbon Rehabilitation Centre for example) so while out its is very unlikely for you to be asked if you want a photo with a snake (monkey etc) - not seen this for more than 2 years.

You likley to find the katoeys in Soi Andaman will want to get you to pay (200 B) to have a photogragh with them and a good few of them still have 'snake' attached !

Of course you should go to see Nicke in Mai Tai (Soi Eric) but you will find the Thai girls very friendly to you at most of the bars - just enjoy the show!
