Or maybe, you are misreading a tone in her suggestion that wasn't there, and others do agree that her suggestion is a good one.
I certainly don't pretend to be "above" going to a strip-club, and I very much enjoy the entertainment that they provide (titties, yeh!). But I've been to a few industry parties, all held at SC joints, and I have to agree that it is not the most conducive space to carry a conversation with and get to know potential customers/providers. In some cases, the local talent doesn't particularly appreciate the presence of what they see (rightly or wrongly) as competition, and many SPs have reported being treated less than friendly by some dancers.
And as Lauren suggested, for those clients who are looking to meet providers who they could potentially take out on more formal dates, a SC is not exactly the best environment to get an idea of how they carry themselves socially, whether they can hold a conversation, etc.
This doesn't mean that having a party at a SC is a bad idea altogether. But there's no reason why we couldn't try another kind of meet-and-greet as well, at a different kind of venue. It doesn't have to be either/or.
