So what happened there? Unusual for a place to close right in the middle of high season. I suppose the rent there must be a killer as it's a prime site and despite the awesome chequerflag tight shorts and red shirts the girls wore and the buy1get1free and 30baht tequilas offers the place always struggled to get people through the door.

Doesn't bother me that it's shut....would like to know what's happened to those uniforms though h:

Im more suprised that its lasted this long.

Over the last 3-4 years, I have never seen more than 5 customers in there, high or low season. Never had a 'catch' to pull punters in, unlike TAi PAn and Baya Beach nextstore.

I know almost nothing about feng shui, the sum total is just a few snippets and one liners picked up without paying attention.

It just got my attention that A) she was so matter of fact about it, even to the point of looking at me like I was the dumb idiot because it should have been obvious B ) I had no idea she had any info about feng shui and C) It does give an explanation (however weird) why such a high foot traffic area could possibly be so hard to run.

A great location all the same but the potential owner has to have firm belief that his/her concept is gonna work from day one, or at those rates you're only ever gonna be chasing your tail !!!

Lol, I sent a SMS to the number listed asked how much the rent was but havent got any reply. (There is a sign outside, "for rent")

It could be remade to a great place I believe, as long the rent is OK/acceptable.

The investor idea was long time ago, I dont know if anyone is interested now.

Its a golden location in any case!!

Lil, I think its not actually Feng Shui. Ask Bee if she meant to say in Thai, 'Tang Sam Pang', I only know this little snippet of information because I was discussing the piece of land (the ex club) at the top of Smugglers Hill, which is now for sale and she told me no business would ever work there because of 'Tang Sam Pang'.

She explained this to me as Thais belief that if a piece of land is surrounded by or where three roads meet, its very unlucky and doomed to fail. Whilst trying to explain this to me, she gave me VIP Club as an example, so try 'Tang Sam Pang' on her and see if she agrees.

I dont know if she means same same but different.. or same same, same same.. And judging by the very confused (and starting to get irritated) look I got when I pressed it, I dont think I will ever know.

Interesting tho.. Didnt know they had a home grown feng shui and nice to hear new info. Bee is partly Thai Chinese (she worships the guan mae thing, wont eat beef, likes to go to chinese temples like wat sua etc) and she definately called it feng shui but are we putting out labels on thier systems, I cant tell ya.

BTW what price the block up there ?? Heart stoppingly expensive ??

I think it's a lil same.

Feng Shui will tell you the bad and good things. If the bad things can be "cured" the master will tell you how, like moving the entrance, or making the entrance smaller or bigger, have more windows...etc....remove mirrors...

If the property is really bad, then nothing can be done.

The place has a great location but the layout is off and it is sooooo dark. Goes to show location isn't everything. With a layout and name change the place would be pumping!!

Yeah.. The Goddess of Mercy (and compassion) Khun Mae Guan Yin ?? I mistakenly thought it may be a Hindu thing because of the no beef thing and it was described to me badly at first by a previous missus..

Its practiced / worshipped more in the TC community I think..

I have even heard her reffered to as 'the female Buddha' but I think in the context I heard that it was more to do with 'Buddha' meaning enlightened rather than Buddha meaning old Sid Arthur..
