Same effect as closing at "4AM", posibly with lights down to "5AM"

New police boss, been early closing for 2 days now... Music had to stop 2.10am today and 2.20 am yesterday, we could still serve for another hour but no music or lights on...

I am not sure if entirely due to new boss or because of the bad things happened in Phuket during the last month(s), and Governor may be involved in crackdown.

A lot of bars were busted 2 days ago, which is very uncommon, normally they just tell you too close but dont bust you. Soi Crocodile was closed for a while tonight as a protest but look like they opened up later on in the evening anyway. Soi Eric had no music for a short time, but still unclear if due to the protest or if the amplifier had problems. (Happens sometimes)

There was also a meeting today with Police which we didnt attend, so I am not really sure what is going on now.

Then I have to leave the beach bars at 7.00 pm instead of 9.00pm not good Mr DK normally never leave till 10-10-30pmand then go out. To early to start.
Ok The Margarita Bar at the top of Bangala Rd never shut till 3-4am last year when I was there (every night), is that included in the early shutdown

All bars were to off the music at 10.45 pm and turn up to support The Patong Bar Association organized protest at the beach road police box. They called all bars owners and staff to turn up to show support to protest about bar closing at 2 am.

heard a rumour today that its a power struggle between the new head honcho in phuket town and the Patong MIB....he wants more...they are sitting on there hands....so he is sending his boys over on a regular basis to shut it down until he gets his way
