You don’t calculate survival rate by deaths / total population (where you include people that never got Covid). You calculate it as deaths / total cases or alternatively 1 minus the death rate (which is near 1.8%). So Survival rate is near 98.2%.

There are so far only 1.36m cases in Canada growing by about 10,000 every 3 days. Your 1.5% gap is over 20,000 deaths that just disappear using your fucked up math. Canada has over 25,000 deaths so if we used your fucked up math that would make 80% of them disappear.
