Leery,
Thanks for responding. I had to read your post about 21 times to realise where your perception is coming from, and even now, I'm not so sure ... hehe ... please bear with me, as I'm curious about different perspectives on this.
I have, like I said, noticed both extremes, being perceived as beautiful and every variation inbetween, by "Caucasians" ... There are those who seem to mostly be attracted, just to the stereotypical Asian look and see the "Asian features" as an asset. There are also those who seem to be attracted to Asians, that have more "Caucasian features" or less "Asian features" ( depending on how you perceive it ). Those would be the two extremes. I probably lean toward the former of the two, but tend to be pretty selective, and find it hard to generalise as to what I like. I do find full lips and dark skin attractive, but that applies to any race.
As for Lucy Lui & the sunshine girl; in both cases I find them somewhat attractive, but also, in both cases, they are somewhat hard looking to me and lack a certain sensuality. I find it hard to be objective on Lucy Lui, partly due to that stereotypical "dragon lady" image they portrayed on Alley McBeal. I guess it's a step up from the usual "stereotype", going back to "The World of Suzy Wong" ...
I've often wondered why some people ( both Asian & Caucasian) are more attracted to Asian girls with more of a "Caucasian" look ( less Asian ). It's almost as if they don't find "Asian features" attractive. I may be getting myself, into hot water here, but if you truly appreciate Asian beauty, you would find Asian features attractive, but at the same time not solely, because they possess those features....
I may be wrong, but it seems you are saying that, as you put it, "slanted, beady eyes & a tiny, button nose" are negative assets. I don't see why they are negative, although most of the words you have used hold a negative connotation, with the expectation of a button nose. ( all subjective, I suppose ) I think a white girl with "almond shaped eyes, and a button" nose could be pretty damn cute.
I know from experience that some people, tend to view the features you list as negative, and it may be just be something that is regardless of race, or something seen as negative within the Asian race, excluding the factor of Caucasians. I don't feel entirely comfortable, or am not sure, I am even right to use the term "more Caucasian" I didn't mean it in the context that, it may sound, but it does encompass the direction of the opposing look. It's hard to say whether this factor plays some role in it, or not, and I don't mean to use the term to suggest it does. Although, possibly in using it, I show my own ignorance. Or, maybe not ...
I'm not entirely positive on this, but in the case of "black" people, I think they hold features that are inherent to their race as positive and the more pronounced the better, with a variation of degrees, of course ...
The reason, I haven't made any suggestions in this thread is because I can't think of any specific Asian girl, currently working, that I've seen, who I'd whole heartedly recommend.
I'd like to say that none of these things are relevant to what attracts someone to a girl, but in reality, for the most part, that is just not the case, no matter how we try to achieve it ...
Just so you know, I am Caucasian, by category ...
For anyone who things this is "lounge drivel", you are more than welcome to read something else ...
