There is nothing that says we as customers must record our details, as required by law.
I checked the statutes and the 2004 amendments leh. If anyone can point out where this is clearly indicated in law, I'd appreciate it. Because the statutes does not indicate that the MP must maintain a record of all customers either. Just the above clause which really allows mata to check any documentation in the premises.. story book, cheque book, bible, childrens book, etc all count.
Thinking back, whenever I go to proper massage joints like the Balinese ones, Naturecare, even the high end ones, there's no requirement to 'sign in' at all. Of course you need to make an appt but that only requires name and contact. Some spas may ask you to fill out a form with name, address, health problems etc but i don't remember nric as requirement. And such forms are kept in their office, not on display on their counter. Even when I go to TCM or Kohong, no requirement to sign in leh.
