I guess it is because girls get pregnant so they need to know about contraception and things but boys should know as well. I don't believe that people are trying to introduce abstinence to only girls because if the girls were abstinent the boys would have to be as well unless they were doing it with other boys, so that throws the theory out of the window. However I think girls are more likely to take on board of what people say and are more likely to listen when people say either use protection or wait until you find the right person so nothing bad happens to you.

The first article doesn't really say it that way. The second one kinda does.
The fact of the matter is, if a girl says no, she can't get preggo. There's nothing wrong with teaching a girl to say no. I don't know how that is more disturbing than a seven-year-old wrapping a condom over a bananna, but I guess people have different wince factors.
The teen preggo rate in the US might have more to do with the people who are getting preggo than the lessons being taught. You can't be learning the lesson if you are skipping class to have sex.
If you want to reduce teen pregnancy rates, all you have to do is reduce the promise of welfare checks. It has become common practice for many US communities to just get pregnant and let everyone else worry about it. If people realize that nobody else is going to worry about "it" for them, it is doubtful they will proceed as they have been for the last 50 years.

I think it's a very good idea, and I don't think that anti-feminists have very much to do with it. It's a government thing, and they are looking at ways to cut back on the rising number of teenage mothers. I don't think there is a conspiracy here, and it IS a fact of life that it is girls who get pregnant and not boys, and besides, there ARE courses for boys, too.

Having a baby as a teenager really isn't a feminist issue.

Girls seem to need more education theses days as they are sexual active so young.. . Sex too early is not love, its play, and your not loving yourselves. (Peer Pressure).. Best to be young and embrace yourself and take care of yourself by staying out of early sexual activities, that prohibit you from loving yourself. Don't abuse your body.. .Wait till your older and find someone who loves you back emotionally.. Someone who really wants to live life with you, and does not use you for their own desires. You cannot play around with sex, that's abuse.. .. grow up and be able to take care of yourself, let love happen .
