Hey now hold up.....I read once that as a cat ages it helps if you massage their paws. It helps with blood flow and reduces arthritis in joints. I massaged my Fat Mans paws nightly and he never had trouble jumping up on the bed even at 25 pounds. Most cats paws are sensative and my guess is she doesn't like the sensation of the massage. Flash, my big guy at 35 pounds, didn't like it at first. But, I kept after it and he now comes to me and rolls on his back to let me know when he's ready for his massage. He doesn't have any arthritic issues as of yet. I only do the back paws to help the blood flow through the hips. I would do start by doing it a little when she's asleep. After a while, she may start to enjoy it. It's cute when stretch out their back paws when you're doing it!
