I never did get back with y'all on what we did with these- sorry!

I'll attempt to "paint a word picture" for you:

And there's a black "shadow" border around the whole thing.

It's very simple. We took a "rough draft" around town to show folks we knew, to get their feedback, and this is the culmination of our ideas and their suggestions. I think it looks very "clean". We took a bunch to the local Chamber meeting last Wednesday morning, and hubby gave LOTS away to area business owners, so hopefully.....

And we did have our ribbon cutting with the "larger area" Chamber, also on Wednesday. It was lovely- we had a nice mixture of friends, family (even my Gram came!), and Chamber members there. overall, about 15 people came. Including the owner and two "head honchos" of the school he and I went to! They were *very* excited for us.

Friday, we received in the mail a "certificate of congratulations on our ribbon cutting" from a State Senator. That was "wow- cool!". I have a thank-you note (complete with card and invite to come visit/get a massage) ready to mail tomorrow.

That's great!! You guys are off to a fantastic start!

LOL! Nope, haven't heard from her yet. I imagine it was more of an automatic response; she is probably a member of that Chamber of Commerce and her staff sends those to every new business. But we take it personally anyway- I even have her lovely certificate framed, up on our wall. Hey- we need decor, lol!

And from the postcards, nope, none yet. Well, not so. One lady did schedule- with ME (not DH). LOL! Her hubby is one of those who is very.... protective, and he's given her a hard time about DH working on her. So, she booked with me. Since she had a particular issue she needed worked on, we asked if she'd be willing to be a demo model, so DH could teach me how he does it. So she did end up getting what she needed, taken care of, by the member of our staff who is best qualified to handle that particular issue- but she could honestly tell her husband that she came to see me. Works for us! :

So far, we've gotten about 4 of the postcards back as undeliverable. I've still got the master list, and will mark off those who do call/come in over the next few months. We realize that April may not have been the "best" time to do this! We're going to give it some time, and cull the names we don't hear from after, say, 6 months' time. Sometimes, these things take a while to "gel": DH has an appointment this afternoon with a lady who "found" him last month, after we sent out a letter announcing his move to the place he rented back last August, and moved out of in March of this year!

Clients can be so fickle, I tellya! :
