I'm a newbie to the board, so sorry if this is obvious, but I haven't been able to find an answer by searching.

If one likes a girl at ZB, but you are staying elsewhere, does ZB provide a room with the fee, or do you only see the girls if you're a guest at the hotel? Or should one bring the girl back to your hotel?

Yes, along with the fee for the girl, you are also given access to a room that includes a shower for the one hour period.

Although, it is possible to make arrangements to have a girl come to your hotel room....the girls are prohibited from doing so and could lose their job if found out.

I can see where there might be some confusion here regarding ZB.

First and foremost Zona Blue is a massage parlor. There are 10 or 11 rooms on the main floor that are used for massages. Each room has a shower. There is also a steam, sauna and a bar in the rear where the girls congregate.

They recently added 4 suites upstairs to more or less legitimize the name "Hotel Zona Blue". Girls are available for $20 IF you are staying in one of the suites.

The girls are "employed" at Zona Blue and are not permitted to work outside the confines of the "hotel". Business hours are 9-9. The girls do not live there.

Hopefully this will help clarify how business operates at Zona Blue.

If you're not staying at the hotel but just using one of the back rooms with a shower, does one negotiate the price at ZB like at the DR, or is this a set fee by the house, since they work there?

Massage parlors in CR, by definition, have fixed prices. With your CRT VIP card, it should cost $40 for one hour or $30 for half hour at ZB (hint, hint, always go with one hour, never a dull moment). One or two places charge more (Pirate and NF?), many others charge less, some significantly less. The general consensus on the cheaper places is that you get what you pay for, looks-wise (usually thicker or homelier or just plain oogie-boogie bufugly), though as RBC100 always says, you can find a diamond in the rough on occasion.

Do some research on the board, there are posts that give names, locations, fixed prices and hours of operation on all the MP's in SJO. If you need in-the-weeds information, I would strongly recommend you pm RBC, Prolijo or my good buddy GetRhythm, as they tend to make maps and posts on this kind of info and really know the details of the MP's.

Don't know how long you will be down, but shop around. Don't just latch on to the first one you see. These places are in fairly close proximity (not across town) and it doesn't cost to look.
