5 ways to meet Japanese girls

1. Hang around a railway station, take a map with you and look hopelessly lost. Have a destination nearby (minimum 5 to 10 min walk away) picked out. If a good looker offers help, tell her where you want to go, with a bit of luck she will offer to take you there. If you select a massageplanete or restaurant you can invite her to stay.

2. Parties definitely a good source. The food and drink are usually pretty basic, but you aren't going there for that. Cheaper than clubs/bars and less "competition".

3. Language exchange. Many of the English Conversation schools run coffee lounges for students to socialise. Foreign visitors are welcome and get discount prices on basics. "Miki House" was one I had some luck in a few years ago, I think this is a chain.

3/4. Placing ad in Metropolis or similar seems to be productive. I did this in advance last time I went to TYO and had half a dozen dates lined up before I left home.

Hi everyone,

If you give me your ideas I'll add them to this list. So far I have established 5 main ways of meeting Japanese chicks, and I am NOT including prostitutes.

1) Picking girls up on the street/subway etc. Same as everywhere I guess except that some people report that some spots are like chick-magnets, such as in Shibuya. I have been roaming around town a bit seating myself in busy places where there are lots of girls, trying to look very foreign but not much action so far at all. Disappointing. Anyone have any recommendations for areas/particular spots?

2) Go to one of the 'meet friends' parties. This week will be my first one - will report how it went, what it's like. These seem to be on offer fairly often, cost around 2,500 and get you free drinks and stuff.

3) Do a 'language exchange'. Had most luck with this so far - place an ad or respond to one in Metropolis or other magazine to meet for a coffee and language exchange. Take it from there.

4) Respond to the personal classifieds in English language publications. Haven't tried this yet but could work; may be a hassle if the girls are more seriously inclined than you.

5) Clubs and bars. On my short visits in the past I have been most lucky with this approach but no luck so far. Gaspanic was dead on a Thursday. Will try again on the weekend. Which other places would you recommend? Any particular days?
