The only TG I know who has real enthusiasm about the beach has only ever been 3 times in her whole life, and when she and all her mates went last year they all in natural Thai fashion went in the sea fully clothed, and stayed out of the sun until about 3oclock (before that time, walking around with an umbrella). I can't imagine any TG that was brought up in Thailand to enjoy sunning herself and drying out her soft skin in the salty sea water very often...

Hardly ever known or heard of a tg who genuenly likes the beach so avoid that.

To share my (very limited) experience: The one TG I spent more time with did not particularly enjoy the beach. She would always (all 3 days) meet me there to for a late lunch, try to avoid the sun by covering herself up with a hat and a towel and never go into the water. But she came there for me (or to make sure that I wont look for someone else).
My mates girl on the other side would lie topless in the sun and run in and out of the water. She was a very dark BG and very adventurous from what I remember (she even dared us to go for a foursome (which was awesome) . But I guess she was the exception from the rule.

Its your money. All I`d say is dont take her where she might feel uncomfortable eg top resteraunt full of hiso where she`ll be the subject of scornful looks, or titty bar which makes her feel cheap. She`ll love to go shopping, which will be expensive for you. And she`ll want to eat. A lot.

Maybe there is only one rule and that is that everybody is different. I know many swedish girls that love the beach but i also know swedish girls that do not like the beach. But everybody want to be someone else. Most white people try go get brown and brown people try to get white. And if you live in the sun all the time maybe you get bored of it. I have friends from africa, black friends. First time one of them visited sweden in the summer she asked why everybody was out in the sun. Dont they know it is dangerous she said. She and her friends are really dark and they are never in the sun. They dont like it and they know it is not good for you.

I dont know what i want to say. Maybe just that everybody is not same same. All swedish girls are not the same and all thaigirls are not the same. Ofcourse swedish girls like the sun and beach very much because we allmost dont have any summer in sweden. For thaigirls the sun is maybe not that much. They have it all the time and are already brown.

That does not mean that they hate the beach.

My missus loves the beach, boats, snorkelling, etc.. In fact she was on at me yesterday to get our masks and fins etc and go..

True she doesnt sunbathe, but then I generally sit in the shade as its bloody hot..

i would send her back and do things with friends instead. the girls are ok and i enjoy being with them but they dont like the sun or the beach and i do, alot! plus i dont like having to pay for someone 24/7 which is normal when taking a thai girl out (actually any girl!)

Activities with girls should be confined to the bedroom then chain them back to the sink. :wink2:

They like going to Beauty Salons so treat her to a facial...that's a face massage with creams and steam to get all the cr@p out your face not what you are thinking...and a foot massage and a thai massage.

Spa can be good especially if you go to a lock-in one where you will have the jacuzzi/sauna/steam room to yourselves ;-)

She probably hasn't been to a fish pedicure yet so that might go down well.

Prawn fishing restaurants can be fun.

In this order take her on the bike up to Big Buddha then Wat Chalong then to the Sea Gypsy village at Rawai where you can buy a fish very cheap and a restaurant opposite the stall will BBQ it for you then if it's around 6pm and you're starting to feel a bit romantic it's a 10 minute ride round to Promthep Cape and you can watch the sunset there.

The foot massage and restaurant of their choice appears to go down well, but maybe food first massage after.

Plenty of suggestions and many from a very interesting viewpoint.
I believe the girl will enjoy all the activities you introduce cos you do care and want her to enjoy.
But i am sad to say that in most cases with girls in Phuket is that the girl WILL want to be paid WELL for her time spent with you. All entertainment n purchases you did for her does not count. She wants payment and as much as possible. Preferably a commitment that you will send her more later.

Thanks everybody for the advice and comments. I feel better prepared to manage a temporary relationship on my next trip.
Regardless of whether the relationship is paid or not, I always like it better if the girl I'm with is enjoying, or at least content, with what we are doing together.

Have fun and chances are if you get a happy playful one she will go along with whatever you want. Thai girls like a lot of asian girls don't go to the beach or out in the sun for cultural reasons not because they don't like it. Brown skin = workers or poor class in many asian countries and white skin means wealthy because it shows you can stay indoors and not have to work in fields etc. In the Phillipines a girl with Brown skin and a flat nose is considered "pangit" (ugly) a girl with white skin and a pointed nose is considered beautiful. I think Thais have similar views but i could be wrong. Phuket is an island and Southern Thailand has so much water but it is odd that so many thais are very poor swimmers. Perhaps for the reasons mentioned.

was a fair few thai girls out in the beach yesterday, some swimming but yer some hiding in the shade. i say shade, i got burnt threw the umbrella anyway!

Depends on what you define as the beach. The beach chairs in the sand, no. But in Patong you do find some girls in the shadows under the palms next to the sand. I guess they enjoy it as they are there alone or with other Thais, no farangs.

maybe bg, but theres some tgs who like the beach - I met mine at a lifeguards competition; tries to keep out of the sun (though so do I being prone to sunburn - touch of ginger in the genes!), swims, kayaks alongside when I go for longer swims.
There's plenty of sporty women here - just not round bars - running, mountainbiking - and not waiting for cover of darkness either.
