NO ONE has the right to tell another how they should live their life. Not a religious group, or political group, or ethnic group, or any one else for that matter.

The one I liked best was when the running theory was that in sperm, there was a little tiny fully developed creature that just needed a place to grow. There was even an illustration of a sperm with a tiny tiny horse in the head......

That's the problem right there: what laws? There are laws on the books that say you can't have anal sex with your wife......There are all kinds of laws that protect people who do wrong, that's the problem with laws.

Then you get into the problem with international law, and an individual country's laws. I mean, stoning a woman to death for being raped? That's a law in some countries....

I think that we should have laws that state: once you've been convicted with concrete evidence (like a video showing you committing a murder) you forfeit your rights. The thing that bugs me is that an asshole pedophile or someone who sells drugs to school kids has the same rights as I do......

The thing about sexuality laws is that at some point, someone decided that being gay DID injure someone or purported the possibility of someone getting hurt therefore they made it illegal (not sure if the law is still on the books or not). Just like any ethnic or other group, there are some who are dangerous and most who aren't.

Even though it IS fiction, a very good argument was put forth on the show True Blood. The Vampire league was fighting for equal rights for vampires, then one goes and rips the heart out of a news anchor on live tv. The outcry was huge with those saying SEE we TOLD you they were evil..The response though is what I'm getting at:

If it was left to us without having religion involved, then almost all of us who be BI or Gay.

So to make it short, and skip a lot of the theory because I figure you all can think it through, religion was brought forth to help solve the problem of not enough babies being born. All depends on what time period and what country you're talking about.

The greeks took, well, stable boys with them.
The Romans took consorts and or raped or took women along the way (as with many other countries).

As for all of us being bi without religion, speak for yourself. You're basing your entire opinion on the "societal" influence to make people gay or straight. It isn't simply that.

For example, I grew up in a rough neighbourhood. Most came from broken homes, lived on welfare, and most kids my age were delinquents. Sure I dabbled and got up to mischief, but did I turn into a career criminal? Nope. By your argument I should have since I was influenced by the society I grew up in.

If it is purely religion, how can it be that a gay couple (or man) can raise a straight child? It'd be impossible......

I think most people are born with a certain disposition. I was born not liking men sexually and nothing is going to change that. I could be locked up for years in prison and would have no desire to touch another man. Others are born with homosexual tenancies and they may or may not act on them.

Gay or straight I couldn't care less if the truth be told, but do not try to push your gay rights down my throat! Everyone is welcome to do what they like with whomever they wish behind close doors but do not try and stifle other people because you do not agree with their position on the subject because that is just hypocritical.

Look at the disgusting campaign gay Smitherman is running. Grasping at straws trying to point out Ford is anti-gay, is a loud mouth, yeah what ever Ford is going to revitalize Church St.

Why? OP posted a thread with a question. 2 attacks on first 3 replies. One of them calls him troll other one calls him stupid. HOF tried to play with words and said he called stupid to question, not to OP. : 5 years old kid can see it what he meant on his first post.

This is why I asked who decides what to talk and what not to talk. If HOF and Tgirl decide who is troll and stupid and who is not. Then I will be carefull about not to post anything related to homosexuality. So I wont be called troll and stupid.

Why is it wrong? Religion benefits from people having children and bringing them up in their faith, it's the main reason they oppose birth control and abortion. It's not a big leap to include opposition to homosexuality.

All I can say is that I've never seen, read, or heard anyone espouse that the main point of religion was to increase the population. The RC in Quebec in the 50's said it was a responsibility of the good Catholics in the province to have many babies to have a larger RC population which was in decline, but that wasn't the church's raison d'etre. It failed miserably.

Even now, the Liberals in Quebec are instigating a bigger family policy and paying people to have more kids, but it's for political reasons 'not' religious reasons. The courts have ruled against bill 101 and said you can't force people to go th French schools. So they are loosing their francophone base.

Most scholars would agree that religions arise to give some people answers to certain questions/fears they have and have those who with these answer to lead in 'certain' aspects of their lives. From there it goes off in all directions.

Not all religions oppose birth control and abortion.

To answer your question, though... whether we are born straight, gay, bisexual, what ever, I definitely do not believe that sexual orientation is a choice. You choose to sleep with men or sleep with women, but you absolutely do not choose which gender (or which person, for that matter) you are attracted to--you're just attracted.

Everyone is born with both female and male hormones in various balances that give raise to certain tendencies, but it's not written in stone. Whether you're an alpha or beta male/female tends to follow with this balance/ratio, but if you are introduced to both sides you get comfortable with whatever floats your boat and it's not a matter of right or wrong. In ancient Greece and Rome it wasn't a question of gay or straight or both, but more a case of whatever was available at the time and place.

There's a lot of debate about this subject. conservative and religious groups insist that homosexuality is a choice, while civil rights and gay rights activists say that it's biological, i.e. something you're born with and have no control over.

Personally, i think homosexuality is something biological. i've had quite a few gay friends over the years, and many have recounted their struggles with coming out to their parents, friends, peers, etc. i believe that if it was a choice, they would not have chosen something that would end up being so painful to them and destructive to their relationships.​

What makes anyor think they have homosexuality right. 50% of the voter public in Texas, correctly considered a conservative godly state, don't beieve in evolution. WTF.

Nobody is "born homosexual"

There is no gay gene nor any hormonal magic that makes babies gay in the womb but prevents them from " discovering they are gay " until their teens or adulthood. Its all BS drama to try to gain sympathy. It is a choice.
