Hmmmm, have observed BGs turning on the tears at the drop of a hat, so one can dismiss that as a sign of "affection". And strangely enough many of the BGs and ex BGs I have spoken to and made friends with, have said that on older, not too attractive farang with a good heart will win out everytime vs a young stud......reasons given = more mature, less likely to butterfly, less likely to be stolen by another BG, more likely to have more money and greater earning potential.......oh and one reason quoted by a few, less likely to want endless boom boom every night!!!

I do agree with you on the msg, but if that is how they wanna see it I would say let them. We will see in a few months. And I think you should always let people make up their own mind as there is no use in insulting their GF as they will just get defensive.

There is no use in advising anyway. So I leave it to answer a question. So is mine different? absolutely. She has realistic wishes and would like a better life for herself and her family which I knew before I had met her. And she is more tight with money then I am (even for herself) :^^:

I think I have to agree with you on the fact that you have to be realistic if you want the relationship to work. You need to set a realistic expectation from the start (mistake nr1 most men make on the first date when they splash drinks all evening etc for everyone) and stick to your guns

No no, I am sure you are right. Of-course it's off to the next customer. I don't imagine that every BG falls in love with me or anything like that. Far from it. Believe me, I am not stupid - and I would find it stupid if it happened. You don't fall in love over the course of 30 hours in Patong! And I don't consider them or it harsh or unfair. That was not my point anyway. I have no illusions about the business aspect of the relationship. Helوl that's why I like it. It's so much less hassle than a girlfriend.

I am just saying that I find it interesting how a lot of the threads are about how these girls really want a farang to marry them. Well, then I find it reasonable to asume that once in a while (like it happens for every one of us every day) they might meet someone where they think "wow, you know I could actually see myself with this guy, regardless of the circumstances. He's really great." It may be one in 50 or even one in a 100, or probably less, but I do believe it happens.

And yes, I have seen them turn on the waterworks in situations where I just went "what the hell are you talking about, I've only known you for 7 hours??". They can manipulate with the best of them, but once in a while I do believe that the same thing can happen to BG that happens to everyone else, however rarely that might be.

It's funny.. I am the opposite... a few years ago I was a cynical ba5tard... but nowadays... I do find the occassional normal human being working in the bars of Thailand... it's rare.. but I've seen it!

what we have to remember is we were once fresh faced and new to the powers of Thai ladies.
once you have lived or worked with one for a few years or been a regular visitor to LOS for a number of years,you will learn
1)Money first her family second money third YOUR NOT IN A PECKING ORDER(unless maybe your living together well away from the p4p scene but even then dont kid yourself)
2)if the Thai water board could be run like a Thai girls tears could be turned on and off then Thailand would never have a dry season.
