I never negotiate. I have paid 1500 once because the girl left early in the morning. I dont like that. 02 - 06 in the morning is not longtime i think. I pay wath i think it is worth. I dont go with that many women. Last trip only one and she got more then 1500/night that i can promise you.

FL= freelance= H00ker- by using this term you are aware what they do and should pay them accordingly, not take glee in getting it 'on the cheap'. If you pick up someone you regard NOT to be a h00ker then she is not 'FL', even then, not hiding a little present in her purse is pretty low. Kidding yourself that they want to sleep with you for being you after picking them up in Tiger or Taipan is pretty self-serving. Everyone knows why you and they are there- it's implied that you should do the right thing.

I was there in November (first 2 weeks) 2008.
FL as LT was 1000 (+ breakfast
LT from BB was 1000 + 300 BF.
ST from BB was 1000 + 300 BF.

Nothing below 1000.
Had this only in BKK. FL from outside Thermae:
ST: 1000, 500, 750.
No LT (they did not want LT there).

One year before (2007) in Patong (Nov).
LT: 1000, 1200. (she said "up to you" and I had her for about a week but not every day). LT was not just over night but sometimes up to 24h.
ST: 1000...1500.

My experience is that it is better to find a LT. Be with her for most of the days and give her a day off sometimes. This reduces the rate/night. You can have her for more hours/day. Have company on the beach and take shower together afterwards and some related activity.
But be aware that she will most likely try to get money from you also after you've left (send SMS and tell stories and ask for money for doctor, motorbike etc.). Has all happend.

as others have said, if you look good and show them a really good time and they enjoy your company, then i'm sure they'd settle for less. but i dont see how you could live with yourself giving anything less than what the 'standard' expectations are, its quite pathetic and maybe there is something wrong with you?

if you want cheap then go to koh phangan, there are plenty of young and drunk middle class (2 week hippy) sluts available for free if you fit the bill.

if you want to spend 1000 baht per session or less you can stick to the massage shop type ST situations

been lucky so far the girl i see regulary in Karon gets paid wages for a cashiers job,dosnt go with customers (they all say that so dont really know), she never wants money of me, we sms/email she even speak to my mother when i get to Karon (costs me a fortune lol)..
Feel guilty that she never takes a penny of me,have tried to put it in her bag when not looking,but then find it in my drawer later (she comes to room and that while at beach so hides it away for me to find lol),all she asks for is that damn cologen drink,yogurt,hair stuff.. So last time i left i bought her lots of bracelets (she loves the damn things) and just dotted them around the room so she found them when she woke up and i was gone to airport,she absolutley loved it finding little pressies here and there..
So am wondering if i have actually found the one,as we both really like eachother,guess this trip will tell....

the MOST i paid for long time on my last trip was 1000baht! one girl i paid 800baht, decent looking but 30yrs old. stayed the night at her place so no guest fee.

another girl i paid 1000 baht for LT and due to the rain the next day she wanted to stay in my room til it cleared up (4pm) and we ended up going at it six times. then two nights later i went back to the same bar and bought her a drink. when i went to leave she really wanted me to pay her bar fine although i was keen for a new girl. 5 mins later she chased up behind me on bangla rd and gave me a big hug. turns out she paid the bar fine out of her own money so she could come out with me.

anyway i took her out dancing and bought her a few drinks then she ended up walking back to my hotel room. she wanted to stay LT again but i told her i had no money. she said she didnt mind and that she would stay for free. i still passed on the offer due to the 800baht guest fee haha. i am curious to know though as to why she offered to stay for free. would it be:
a) her place was perhaps to far away
b) she actually enjoyed my company
c) she would try and con me the next morning

but back on the topic i dont think there is a minimum on how much u pay. my mate paid 600baht to an attractive bar girl (no bar fine) and she drove him to her house on the bak of her moped about 30mins away and then drove him back the next morning. thats what i call value for money.

like some of u already said i think it depends alot on whether u show the girls a good time. also helps if ur with a mate and u both get a girl from the same bar. then they have company and usually have a lot more fun which means the think less about the $$$ and just have a good time!!
