I really don't care about the cost of ST and LT, what I want to know has these times of economic distress changed the definition.
Are they respectively getting longer or shorter now?
With the set time of, say, ST has there been any changes in what one is allowed to achieve?

My mate and I have been out-and about in Chalong the past few nights, "researching." Prices don't seen to be affected much given the fact that it's low season now -- there are plenty of customers out here drawn from the expat community (mainly young teachers in this neck of the woods).

On the road leading from the circle to the pier are probably a dozen bars, most with bg's and a few with stunners (particularly a few shopfronts up from El Gringo's). Prices were pretty even across the board -- bar fine in the 250-300 baht range, ST 500-600, and LT ranging from 1000 to 1200 depending on your place or hers. It's good to "negotiate" a bit less if you have to pay for a room in one of the nearby guesthouses (extra expense offsetting cost of P4P), but maybe that's just me. I don't like it if they want to stop and eat after we leave the bar so I try to order in some food so they're im-lau and we can get right to the deed once we get to the room. (That comes after bar-fining a gal in BKK a couple of years ago and then she wanted to stop at every food stall and market on the way back to my hotel. At one point, the food offered at the stand wasn't quite what she wanted so she convinced the cook to let her cook and she ended up wasting even more time cooking for customers. I'd only time for ST before having to catch a taxi to the airport for an early morning flight!)

Actually, my favorite bar on this week's escapade was Mipang Bar, which is located off a side soi called Chalong Plaza. A fair number of medium-stunners eager to please. I paid 300 barfine, and 1500 for LT, plus an extra 100 for the motorbike taxi the next afternoon (she only left when it was time to go back to work). Oh yes, this lady gave me a killer massage on my barstool starting maybe 20 minutes after I'd first arrived at the bar.

The lowest prices we were quoted at a place on the road between Chalong and Rawai, somewhat before the Seashell Museum. It's in a strip of new (built in the last couple of months) bars across the road from a large wood-carving shop. This particular bar doesn't have a name but it's two or three up from Purple Haze Bar. The two bg's in there during our visit weren't bad-looking, both 22-23. I tried to chat up the really cute round-faced Chinese girl but she had eyes for my friend so I zeroed in on "legs". Very skinny, very tall, the longest legs I believe I've ever spread. Nice tits. It was her first night working at the bar and when I told her it was America's birthday (it being the 4th of July) I think she misunderstood and said she'd give a special present. Anyway, I didn't have to pay a barfine, her room was just a couple of minutes' walk behind the bar (matresses on the floor in a tin shack), and she gave me almost four hours of very enthusiastic boom and only asked for 600 baht. She was so limber I felt that should be rewarded and ended up giving her a thousand.

My friend took the Chinese girl back to his place and I only just heard back from him. Turns out she was sick and she passed out soon after they'd showered. She slept there and finally went home around noon. He never got any action but he gave her 500 anyway (which she tried to wave off).

It's Saturday night, so I may do a bit more "research" as I'm trying to put together a map of the best places in the Chalong area. Tonight, we might check out the karaoke places that line Chaofa East Road; these are more geared towards Thai customers but we've spotted some very lovely ladies outside more than one...

Apparently it's a 1K Bar fine followed by a 3 to 5K ST.

LT anywhere between 8-10K depending on the "Stunner Factor" and a small queue of blokes. 555555

Sounds like you know the score so I wont try to teach granny to suck eggs (or pay her too ).. Only will say I have had a couple of less than easy experiences trying Thai Karaokes.. Only takes one drunk Thai guy to think your on thier patch or pushing up thier prices..

Ended up heading down the road the opposite direction towards Rawai. There was a huge gaggle of lovelies at Good Times Bar not far from the Siam Commercial Bank so we u-turned back there. Not disappointed. About eight or nine stunners, one lady-boy and a few servers in Tiger Beer t-shirts who could be had as well. Picked up a lovely lady from Udon who had only been in Phuket for 2 weeks. ST -- 30 baht for the bar (!), 500 baht for her in a free room upstairs. LT price quoted was 1500, plus 500 for the bar. Didn't take her up on that...

Next stop was Chalong After Dark, across from the 7-Eleven near Chalong Pier (about two shopfronts up from El Gringo's Mexican Restaurant). The girls there remembered us from earlier in the week and I'd already pre-picked my girl for the evening. She was willing before I'd even asked her and after a quick drink (and some photo fun outside as my buddy had his camera as we'd attended a friend's birthday party in the afternoon), it was upstairs to a large room -- huge bed, comfortable and very clean, but with cold-water shower). J was very enthusiastic and we had a good time -- almost 2 hours for 500 baht (plus 100 for the bar, 500 for the room). LT would have been just 500 baht more so I wished I'd had time... (Saving the LT's for the long Buddhist weekend coming up -- I do work a full-time job...)

Passed by the karaoke places on the way back home and stopped at one. Several semi-stunners (young) sat down with the two of us to chat us up. Luckily, our Thai language skills were (mostly) up to the task as their English abilities were quite low (to be expected and I usually use these opportunities to practice my Thai anyway). We only stayed for one round of drinks (and I sang a Carabao song which brought over a couple of Thai guys who offered us Sang Som; I hate the stuff but you can't say "mai ao" in a situation like that). Anyway, didn't feel like barfining any of the girls (I was a bit worn out by that time), and didn't want any trouble from the Thai guys -- although generally I've learned how to play by their rules -- so we left when the lights came on at "closing time" (those places just use that method to clear the place out for the serious drinking).

Well, that's all for until next weekend. I've decided no more carousing on work nights as it's hell getting up the next morning. I'm thinking about another visit to Rawai's Good Times Bar next Saturday after the Thai Visa.com BBQ at Friendship Beach...

Was sitting outside the garden having dinner today. One of my cats caught a lizard and was playing around with it.
My second cat approached and stole the poor thing from her and sit next to me, throwing it around.

While I look down, I see there's no tail on that lizard ... hey.. where's the tail?

I look back to the other cat in the corner and see her munching on the last piece of the tail 555
