After watching football final with family and friends settled to complete my unfinished FR but Ronitji's post caught my attention...

My views...

Monger spends money prodigiously. He is extravagant and recklessly wasteful, often to a point where the spending climbs well beyond his means.

Every monger at some point would have had his regrets...

My rule...

1. Ensure the family and future is secured. If not just don't indulge in mongering as there are various risks which can put the family and future at stake. I don't believe that you can limit your expense in mongering. If someone is able to manage it till now, he is due for the pitfall anytime

2. Family is not an important thing. It is everything. So priority is to spend quality time with family.

3. Never get into relationship

Financial security is paramount. Once achieved, you have the ability to live life on your terms.

As you are alone and young and sense of financial security has prevailed, plan your career to settle peacefully and postpone mongering for sometime. All I understand is that you are slowly getting sucked into mongering more and wake up before you are completely sucked.

A new aspect of bar girls that one of my squeeze told me yesterday.

It seems that they have some lottery type scheme, where each gal who participate puts in 10k in a fortnight. At the end of 4 to 5 months, chits are drawn and the lucky gal who gets her name on it gets the collected amount minus her contri to it.

Given that my muse is marathi and cant spell the name of the scheme, understand that it is called GV or something.

Apparently she had won around 2 lakhs in April. I immediately asked her for a party and she readily agreed

I am.amazed that these gals also have such financial investments.

It's important for you that you have atleast realised that you are going wayward...
99% don't understand that they need to control, including me in my initial days..
I resolved a lot,but the more I resolved,the more I indulged in..
In the meantime,as my resources dried up,I tried using my credit cards,way back in 2001-2002.
I resolved hard to keep my mongering expenses to 15k in 2001,a lot of amount that time,I would spend 25-30k per month on credit card..
Those days,no bars accepted credit or debit cards..the waiters,the white coats gave u a sinister look when u flashed credit card..but to my surprise,white house, nightingale,cabana would happily accept my credit card..but deducting further 5-10% as transaction fees...bc..
At one time,my outstanding was RS. 95000+ and I used to pay 3500 as interest per month,leave alone the principal amount..
The more I resolved to stay away from joints those days cause of mounting debt,chiks used to call and sentimentally blackmail me to visit adding woes to my sorry plight...
I don't know what destiny had plans for me,in those rough days,best chiks came in my life..hot,curvy,seductress...and I could not control my desires...
So bro...
To me controlling this vice is almost near to impossible...and if you could control it,consider yourself as superhuman...or Saint...who have conquered their desires..

Hi all,
Have always been a silent reader n mostly active silently. My profession keeps a cap on my mongering expenses. 3 months wen home splur like there is no tomorrow. Almost 60k. Once onboard as i sail on tankers. The mongering expenses r like @100$ / month. So I'd say its d job that has had a control over my mongering and am really kinda thankful to it in a way.
No offence to any salaried or shore based personnel.

PS: Someday would love to be a part of the party of legends like mk, uncle sam and anglo. Y'all r doing a great job keeping this forum alive n in particular healthy with miscreants at d minimum.

trust me u r not alone. all mongers at any stage of their mongering life have gone through these blues.
im 46 now, started mongering at 19!!! ur experiences r ur best answers. u have got some great advice from great folks here, try to stick to them.
added to that, i wud say u shud not get emotional in mongering, be hard core n try to be selfish if possible. the girls wud not stick to u if u do not spend n if u r spending, what's the harm in eating the cake n having the cream too!!!
u need to cultivate the mental ability to absorb all types of losses - financial, emotional, personal etc.
there is always light at the end of the tunnel, the only hitch is that the mongering tunnel is quite lengthy...so plan accordingly...

hi guys, not sure iif this post is relevant on forum.

But i am feeling as if ii am getting addicted to mongering. I started around 7 months back, and decided not to exceed 10k per month on same.

I was able to mantain that for first 3 months, than around 15k per month for next 3 months, now it is exceeding beyond that. I can afford 15k per month but rate at which mongering spend is growing, i feel i am not in control anymore.

aprrox visit per month: 5-6 now, started off with 3-4. spent per visit is also growing.

would love to hear experience of freshers and experienced alike on this. specially people coming from humble background but rising fast

(i love mongering and would like to control it before it become an financial burden)

But I don't mix these three things. Simply avoiding alcohol while mongering can drastically bring down your expenses by considerable amount.

Health care expense is the most important cause for financial planning going out for toss

2 -book a own house
Any where in Mumbai or outskirts of Mumbai or anywhere in Nasik or Any dam place where you will live after age 60
But Book it now and start paying EMI

3 -Keep money for children education separate

Once you do these three things covered then u feel less guilty about spending on mongering
So do these things on priority basis and then u will feel relaxed while mongering


Second

If you want to spend more then EARN More

How to do that ?
Use your skills
I will give you an example

One of friend is working in IT sector
He is good in maths
He teaches in coaching classes for tenth students to earn additional money for Mongering

Another known monger ,
Dose a small scale business of a small restaurant in addition to his routine job to earn extra money
So bottom line is open your eyes

Another friend has stated a small gym in his home town
There are so many examples

Use your skills and earns more
it is not difficult
Every one has them
Just look for itv

Third

Spend time with family
If u have seen
Most of us don't monger on weekends as it is compulsory family time
This leads to reducing carving for mongering and limits expenditures and off course it is necessary to keep balance between family and Mongering

It helps to have a long term mongering

Don't just be a monger
Be all rounder

See Angelo plays football every Sunday
PC goes for morning run every day

To me,for earthlings like us,fullfilling our desires and cravings is a must before we start our journey to renunciation...
Imagine a man in his prime,doing meditation and trying to control his disturbing thoughts,and in the process more and more lusty thoughts coming into his mind..
Nothing wrong is indulging untill we are alive,as dead can never get an erection..

Well bro i haven't done anything like this nor i will or even i recommend it to anyone....my only point is to be a Sansarik vyakti with a little bit of awareness(hosh).
Either we go to extreme of fullfilling our desires and cravings to a tangent or we feel we need to have total abstain from these things(i dont call them even vices because its a natural flow of energy). Either you go north or south. My whole damn point is just be in the middle.Be a common man indulging in everything but (bus hosh me karo)
Awareness(Hosh) has nothing to do with whether you are in your prime or in a death bed.
My whole point is to indulge in all your lustness with an awareness and you will find you are enjoying much more with more control else sooner or later when the gas fizzes out you will have to repent on the same indulging activity. Madhyam marg me chalo
