I've heard this same story a few times over. The girl says she'll quit and then doesnt. The guy waits, and waits, and eventually has to decide how much it bugs him and if its a deal breaker. I think if evereyone knows whats going on, honesty is the best policy all around. As an MPA, your man should know your goals and why you are there. What you are working towards. And keep that the focus. It will help her succeed and keep to her timeline. A good support system and motivation is all anyone needs, MPA's included!!

But they never want to be made a fool of or ever be forced into a situation where they will have to address it (because everybody and his mother saw her man at the SC...or making out with some hussy at the Panorama Lounge).

Just goes to show how the "culture" of GTA strip clubs impacts perception. At this point, you just assume that any guy going to a SC is going to get some "extras". The idea that he might be going JUST to see the show and get some lap dances seems like more of a stretch you are comfortable with in your life.

For years I have argued that the reason that GTA clubs were losing business was because the only guys who went were guys...by themselves...sneaking out to get "extras". That the market of guys going in groups to just have a good time, get a little tipsy and buy each other lap dances had dried up...because such a guy would never risk his SO finding out he was in a SC. All this, as opposed to a mindset that says "boys will be boys", and that gave a tacit approval to (just) enjoying the stage show and getting lap dances. All my friends had this sort of understanding with our SOs...but none of those SOs would have been cool with it if they knew what COULD happen in certain clubs.

Well...there you go. Speaking for myself...I learn a lot when the ladies of the board are honest and straight forward. I think it would be better of all the ladies chose to remain anonymous like you have....and had no concerns about how they might hurt business with their posts.

I can't say I speak for every guy, but whether I met her in a parlour or at a night club, I would have GREAT difficulty accepting the above, of which I consider the last two to be contradictory to each other.

Cause either the guy accepts your line of work, or he stresses about it. Theres just no other way!

As for the first point; "ego boost" isn't always the case. Guys are human beings too. We like to feel appreciated, pampered, massaged, and it doesn't hurt that its done by a beautiful, cute'n sexy girl in a very erotic sort of way.

Its not about feeling good about ourselves, but rather just feeling good.

I never dated an MPA but I did date a dancer once. I was younger and I probably fooled myself but I assumed it was only dancing and no mileage. Was I being naive? Dunno.

But as I have grown older, and now knowing more about clubs I still haven't concluded whether I would be ok with it. But what I do know is that all types of providers still need companionship. I guess they will all find it in some way shape or form.

Everything was fine until the MPA decided to visit Mother one day and lo and behold there I was enjoying a delicious breakfast of bacon and eggs wearing my bathrobe. She looked at me and I said, "Hi Baby!"

Her mother was all excited and stuff, showing me off to her daughter. I think she felt a little uneasy with our smooching, cuddling and baby-talk.

A couple of days later I stopped by the spa for a session with my step-daughter MPA. She refused to see me! She got quite angry when I said "Daddy's here!"

The relationship with her mother ended rather abruptly due to an ugly incident involving her cat, a bottle of Welch's prune juice and a pair of night-vision goggles.

Every once in a while I stop by the spa to bring her a cheeseburger.

I'm sorry but I'll have to respectfully disagree with you there.

Every decision we make in life has a consequence...to go into a profession of shame (please think outside massageplanet.net world) where it's looked down on, to live a life where you have a work name and your regular name, assume a work persona (for valid reasons) and so much more...that's not regular. Educated, professional girls that I know would probably slap me if I asked them if they have considered a career in stripping.

Someone told me about strippers -- "they lie to their customers, their friends, their family and ultimately to themselves". Does that apply to every stripper, of course not. But it's a safe assumption knowing what the demands/stresses/conditions and social perception of the profession are.

So to make this decision knowing everything.....that's the character flaw we were talking about.

The only difference, I believe, is that our MPA angels need the $$. Yes, that's a lot of money, but hey, how about us?

Isn't it true that we all keep thinking and planning 7x24 how to make more $$ than what we receive from our current employer? I know I do...

And, if I had the balls, I would go rob a bank ... but then again, I'd certainly go to jail, and worst part, I'd have to look for the biggest boyfriend there so I sleep with one person only!

Tricky indeed. The modern woman. In this case, both people need to have their own 'hobbies' sort to speak. Whether its sports, career...etc, without solely relying on the other person to provide for a 'life' or something to do.

You have to have your own interests and be financially and domestically independent. But you also have to realize that theres also a "we" and "our" in there somewhere, or else whats the point of a relationship.

Many people in my regular life know that I massage part time in addition to my career. Im not ashamed. And dont really care what others think about it. I have the opportunity to maintain my health, persue my passion, and still pay my bills. That is NOTHING to be ashamed of!! I know regular girls that have waitressed at strip clubs or been receptionists at MP's or phone sex workers or escort agency phone girls. Why assume everyone is squeeky clean? Your secretary could moonlight as "Candy" on a brass pole just as easily as you book an appointment at an MP as "Mike".

Just because is takes a special kind of girl to balance everything, doesn't make that a "flaw"...
