I think it's about the $$$ only. Their moral compass (for whatever reason) is skewed or non-existent and it's whatever means it takes to an easy life. Well not only am I a strong personality, but Im told Im aggressive. I tend to wear the pants, call the shots, and say what goes. After being an MPA and holding some big titles in the 'real world' I just cant ever be a 50's wife. I need a man that can handle my stubbornness. Im a powerhouse in all aspects of my life. I cant respect a pushover. I dont need a provider, I can take care of myself. The right man for me needs his own life and the ability to support without taking over. Its a tough balance. You guys believe me - why? Well... It's not really a smart business-strategy for me to say I won't date clients... especially considering the "mind fuck" trick employed by a few of my peers has worked on more than a few vulnerable guys....

It's different when you're trying to convince someone of something so you can get your way.


Truth-be-told... I'm single and I am not sure of whether or not I will put my heart and soul into another relationship until I'm "retired"; it's very difficult to have a healthy relationship considering my job... and I don't feel that lying to someone I love is right; especially seeing as this job and my time in the industry has changed me - both positively and negatively. In order for someone to truly know me, they would have to know about this chapter of my life. I just hope my future partner(s) have enough emotional intelligence to avoid thinking less of me when I tell them about my past.

I can relate.

I've been accused of caring too much for my clients. Maybe it is my way of coping. Maybe the fact that I care let's me walk into work without thinking I'm a bad person.

We are both pretty-successful attendants so at the end of the day; I'm pretty sure clients appreciate those of us who are capable of connecting at a deeper level.

Thanks for the honesty. As both yourself and another poster has pointed out, perhaps your thinking is a bit hypocritical, but it's good that you recongnize that.

I could not see myself developing a relationship with a girl in this industry exactly for the two reasons that I have highlighted and it's nice to know that you would share the same perspective.

For guys who are o.k with it, I always wonder how they could be comfortable allowing their girl/SO to go out and provide BS to other dudes. Also, as a man we have that primitive need to protect our family and loved ones, and if my gf or wife was in the business, I would feel that I have failed in my most basic obligation.

Speaking for myself...the more independent a woman is the better (so long as I get what *I* want insofar as "support"). What always amazes me are women who feel compelled to be a bitch in order to challenge a man...make him "prove" something.

I am 42 years old. I know what I want, and don't have a need to prove I am a man to anyone. And I prefer woman who know that being a strong woman does not equal being a bitch - a woman who is confident enough as a woman that she doesn't have a need to "be a man".

It isn't being a pushover...sometimes things aren't worth fighting about. Of course...some things aren't worth fighting for either...so when someone shows themselves to me more effort than they are worth, I'm out....
