Most of the OTOP bars ( the round ones with grass rooves in the market area opposite the Holiday Inn) have bf'able girls but the better looking ones when they are there, are there at night.
Same same the massage girls, it always seems like the best of them dont arrive till mid afternoon at the earliest.
The demise of the day time bars in Patong is a real shame, not so many years back you had a few open on Sawatdirak road at the front of Soi Sea Pearl, you had the Dream Bars and others around the start of Soi Eden, and a cluster around the Irish Bar opposite Immigration on Beach road. All had a smattering of tidy girls.
Now theres really only the strip of Shanty bars ( P1, Kangaroo bar etc) on Bangla and one overt lady bar in Sunset Plaza.
It seems that the tgs only think its worth chasing customers after 11pm nowadays.

i had a convo with my sister the other day
she was saying that she has been saving of late and i was saying how that is important to show her kids
my mom was horrible at expenses and all of us turned out shitty at saving although i have gotten good at it last 5 years or so

Opened at 1500 when I was there in early April. Couple nice girls, but for the most part very average.

^ a fairly high turnover of staff at RH i`ve found.
the nice ones seem to disappear quick but there are new ones turning up all the time.
i`ve been there early evening at times when the 2nd shift start and counted anything like 3-6 girls BF and out the door quick smart.
also notice plenty coming back around 10ish freshly showered and wet hair :yipi:

in years gone by it use to open at 14.00 but ATM i think it may be 15.00.
probably wouldn`t go there until after 15.30 to be safe.

Yeh, since I use an Aus based ccard for airfares , Im guessing I'd have to add 10k a month or more for airfares...

The sign outside has 2.30pm to 3.00am.
I was in there at 2.45pm a couple of weeks ago and there were girls dancing.

Yeh Jaf, Ive been trying to figure out the tgs motive for this shift in 'work hours'....

I hold with Rudi from the Kamala Beergardens logic that they are moving away from the bars and into more FL work because they dont have to actually work/stay some where for 8-12 hours, clean the bar or have to drink everyday.
But thats because they can get free drinks at the Patong nightclubs and I dunno if thats the case in Bkk or CM or even Pats for that matter...
Being a FL also costs them 4k or so a month in pay, removes their % of LDs, and takes away whatever 'mateship' they get in the bar, and even the 'security' aspect. Even removes a roof over their heads in many cases....
So they would surely need about 6 extra LTs a month ( at say 1500 a LT) to break even once they'd paid rent , food etc. Plus they must have difficulties sometimes, trying to convince a bloke who thinks he just 'picked up' at the disco, that he is really just a customer.
Any thoughts on this anyone?

Not many lookers at the OTOP bars during the day.

My first trip to Patong in November 2009, the place was very busy at night and I spend a lot of time there. Seemed very quiet there on my last trip. The girls are bar fineable (well they were at the bars I went to)

When I went to the cinema in January with a girl from the Aussie Bar (just a friend), I noticed a fair few girls lurking just outside the entrance on their own. I did wonder whether they were waiting for friends to arrive or were "working".

The problem here Chobby is that you have thought this through, looked at the pros and cons, done a feasibility study and framed a budget.

BG maths would say - 1500 baht for 1 Lt = 45,000 baht per month 55555!

I went home empty-handed the night/morning before. I was still roaming around Soi Sansabai at 7.00am in a drunken attempt to secure something...tried to flag down two TGs on a scooter...they were having none of it!
I knew I wouldn't be able to last until the next night so returned to base for a few hours kip and then some afternoon action!
