I made that point as well. The prosecution could have easily offered him immunity, but they didn't want that information in the trial since it would weaken, not strengthen their case. Floyd spit up drugs in the back of the police car-a thing he had done during a prior arrest as well. The dealer's testimony would've made it that much harder to avoid reasonable doubt...although it seems this jury would have gone to any length to find Chauvin guilty.
