Second, many Republicans are saying “why now, why wait so long?” Well, I guess their memory is very short or they are just stupid. It was Bill Barr, the Attorney General, who is the ultimate boss of the Justice department. The DOJ had a standing policy that a sitting President cannot be indicted. So, the NY DA was handcuffed and could not do anything until Trump was out of office.
