Taking solace in the popular vote is completely pointless, because just like the impeachment trials in the Senate that's not how winners and losers are determined... What does it matter when Gore wins the popular vote if we get eight years of George W?!

The royal flush theory didn't hold at all. Royal flush theory contends it was only the most incredible streak of luck he even won the first time! So how did he almost win again amidst a horrific pandemic?? That's the royal flush theory flushed down the drain!

In addition to the presidency, Trump's GOP almost won the House, winning way more seats than anyone predicted, he almost certainly would have won the Senate if he didn't shoot himself in the foot a thousand ways, and the GOP did fantastic at the state level, controlling the majority of State houses thereby giving them the power gerrymander all the districts and change all the election laws to make it even easier for them to win the next time.

As for your "fact" his brand has run it's course, it's been the same brand he's been running on the entire time, and yet he's still more wildly popular than anyone else in the GOP!

Saying it's impossible for him to win again is like saying it's impossible for the GOP to win again. Trump is the GOP right now! It's just as short sighted as everyone who was originally saying he couldn't win in the first place for the very same reasons you're saying now.

Trump entered his reign with the oval office ,house and senate...how did he leave?....you mentioned these 3 states could have flipped the election Arizona, Georgia and Wisconsin but they didn't... they voted for Biden.. you are running on ."almost and if"....the election is over....Biden won.....you do agree Biden won don't you?

No candidate can win the General election without the moderate swing vote and it doesn’t help his cause when those moderate leaning Republicans are becoming alienated by his followers and being called RINOs. His right wing is trying to expel or marginalize the group of voters and the current moderate leaning Representatives and Senators they actually need to win the Presidency and regain power in the Senate and House.

The first time around the voters didn’t know what they’d get in Trump. Now they do. But what the GOP thinks of Trump is irrelevant as it’s an insufficient number of votes to win the Presidency and that group of people are the only ones he’s directing his message to. This time around voters know exactly what they’ll get in Trump and the moderates are looking in another direction than Trump. The moderates will take the “fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me” approach. gerrymandering can help the House and Senate seat vote but it’s still a total popular vote in each state for the electoral college and Presidency. They may make it harder to vote for this demographic (all in person, no Sunday votes) but the Dems can just get more people to help mobilize the vote.

The wildcard in all this will be who the Democrats select to run as we can safely say it won’t be Biden. It will likely be Harris but that’s still a long way off.

The election of the Senate took place Nov. 3rd. You're confused with the runoff elections that took place a bit later. And yes, the Republicans lost the Senate as well.
