Same reason why they are under represented in Sports. They decided their path to wealth, or at least comfort, is through education and not sports. They trained their minds and not bodies because while the financial rewards of being a successful athlete are way higher the probability of ever getting to that top tier in sports is way lower and being in the minors usually pays so little you can’t really live off it.

Unfortunately, you are correct, in the sense that governments have bought into the bullshit of “hate speech” “hate crimes”, “hateful people”.

Criminalizing subjective speech or action is wrong, as it opens the door for classifying almost anything as hateful, potentially making everyday actions or beliefs criminal in the future.
