Does Patong ever sleep?

Just received a text from a girl in Soi Croc. Not a sexual aquaintance, but a friend all the same.

If I remember rightly the bars down that Soi were closing around 2 - 2.30 am when I was there in November - mind you as I was guaranteed to have been so extraordinarily drunk, what would I know - however, I do also recall walking around the corner and having at least another hour of drinking in Soi Gonzo.

Now I could be totally off with all this, but hopefully some of the longer timers or expats could offer some idea of closing times.

Anyway it is 1.45am Thai time or there abouts, as I type this, and this girl has just text 'Sabai dee kaa, I go out know, call you when come back'

Am guessing she means when she gets back home - otherwise she won't be speaking to me till around April time...!!!!

I really thought the Sois now had to close around 2.00am I know the clubs and stuff are open, I am just curious.:embrassed

We're right in the middle of high season now Viper. Patong is absolutely heaving. Many of the bars are still open to 3 even 4 in the morning...especially in Gonzo. A few more brown envelopes are no doubt changing hands to extend the entertainment opening hours.

Why come back - it's almost zero degrees here at the moment, been blowing force 9's most of the week force 10 for a while last week, especially when MSC Napoli broke her back.

Nope, Patong at the moment does not sleep, number of night clubs have licences to stay open to 4 and 5 and the others just seem to be copying them, we left Seduction the other night after 4, went over to Baya and left there think it was after 5 and it was still going strong. Late night bars still nopen all night as well, reckon you can also hit the high notes in the Karaoke after 4 as well, well I cannot but you might be able to, who the hech wants to sing karableedinoke at 5am??

i don't knnw, when i was there, i could frequent banana till closing, then to tiger till 3 or so, then from there, it was to safari till 6, then back to soi sensaby at 7 till whenever i felt like going to bed

Was in McDonalds on the beach front at about 7 or 8am on the way back from Safari. There were quite alot of young tourists walking in from the bars/karaoke's around Patong. So if you want to find somewhere to drink in Patong you don't have to go to Safari at the moment!

Got some shit (But I thought were nice at the time) pics of the sun-rise over the beach!
