The coppers have, or are trying to close up the beach in devon, threatening to arrest anyone.
Bit annoying imo, if the genuine beachcomber types fill out the form to the "Receiver of Wrecks" its legal and above board, but the coppers are stopping them.
Most of the trouble apparently is big gangs coming from hundreds of miles away swiping everything to flog on ebay.
And the thought of some poor bugger getting his mits on a free bag of nappies or empty barrel which will all be written off to water damage has got the media in a frenzy, mostly ignoring hundreds and hundreds of seabirds already covered in oil and the 3500 tons of it that need to be pumped off before destroying the coastline.
